How long have you been married or together?

Funnily enough it's just for a year according to UK law. That is, one can annul a marriage if it has not been consummated in the first year. If after a year or if consummated later then you can't annul and the marriage is considered legal.

This is something i looked into. The marriage i remain in was not consummated for 13 months. And now, 11 years later, we're at 41 months of no sex. She's no fan of anything sexual, so don't think this is a consensual sexless marriage, it's not. Chastity is just my way of attempting to weather it and not end things. She is unaware i do it.

Anyway, yes, eminently possible to be in a legal marriage without commutation.

In Canadian law, legally, if a marriage is not consummated it is voidable but not void. In plain English it can be annulled but if the marriage partners chose to remain married it is valid.
