    There are a variety of different ways of view threads on the Mansion. I'm interested to know how people view the site, it will help with restructuring :)

    The forum is small enough and I'm interested in all things here so I always use the whats new / new posts ... but I also always use the "recent posts" so that I see both the new treads and the threads I have already read ... this is why I use the Red Mansion theme, it is visually better when using the Recent Posts option

    What's new, ignoring posts that are the spam "how to get a bigger one" that have web pages as the title! It would be great if there was a mark as read facility

    Not quite Lucy. It's more on the list of new posts to be able to directly mark a thread as read without having to open it and ignore what herbal remedy will give Ian a never ending hard on! ATM I wait till there's a pile, with interesting ones all read and then bulk clear as you suggest.

    I believe he means individually ... some forums allow / have it so as you are reading / scan the threads, you can mark each thread individually marked (without having to open / read it) ... it is nice if you pop in sort by all unread threads start clicking through and then have to leave ... you come back to be able to again sort by unread threads and you have not lost your place or any threads.

    All my bookmarks are to “recent history” because it gives an overall view of what’s being said, who’s liking what (which can bring up old threads that may be of interest), who’s saying what on profiles and so it goes on.

    A real view of life and interactions on The Mansion, not just who’s posting what.

    It’s stood the test of time over many years. :)
