I have searched the preferences on my account from top to bottom, and cannot find anything that shows I have elected to receive email messages on alerts from watched threads. I found that option on alerts from gallery items, but nothing under Watched Threads. I’d like to keep the alerts within the site, but not get emails about them. There is also nothing on the watched thread itself that indicates I have selected to receive email messages.

Update: I found that if I unwatch a thread, and then select to watch it again, I am given the option of email or no email alerts. But why is this not shown anywhere on the thread while it is on watch status? It’s weird that you have to unwatch it and then watch it again to be given the option to keep the alert without emails.

A good way to manage this is to create a separate email address for all the porn / dubious / unsure / other websites and accounts that you have.
    (eg: hardbodysub@hotmail.com, hotbodysub@gmail.com, ... )
Then change your email address on websites like this one to your new separate email.

Then it doesn't matter whether those accounts send spam or other unwanted emails that you don't want anyone else to glimpse, you only use the account through the web interface when you need to reset a password and the like. Also, if any site then starts to send you messages unexpectedly it won't catch you out. (most websites reserve the right to send you "admin" messages).

Your main email account then stays clean and clutter free.
(or just more clutter free than it would be otherwise )
