    A good friend of mine brought up the idea of locking a guy up in a cage. I really liked the sound of it and want to lock my man up after catching him enjoying himself without me.

    Good idea. Best is steel, to give you the option of 24/7 (24/7/365 even if you want:)). Take a look at MatureMetal for starters. (Though there are plenty of others). There's a whole section here (The Mall) on devices available.

    But they take time to order and you need to know the right measurements!
    If you need something to tide you over, then look at the cb6000. Plastic, not really suitable for longterm 24/7, but can be fitted immediately as the range of rings and spacers means it will fit virtually all sizes (unless he's microscopic or ginormous :)), and the sizing will also help you get it right when you order something steel.
    And if you want something really top of range look at Lori. Expensive, long delivery time, most (but not all) versions need piercings, but security absolute tops.

    I just got a metal one on Amazon. It looked like the ring is shaped to be more comfortable for him. Also it doesn't use a padlock. The lock is built into it.

    Quite. For best options you need something that is capable of being 24/7/365 if desired. There are some really top of the range state of the art versions out there, but for now you just need the basics. Break him in first. Can always upgrade later on if you want.
