So I'm (24 yo male) not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but here it goes: I've been using a chastity cage for about 2 years now, but about 6 months ago I changed the ring to a smaller one and only now I have noticed my balls turn a darker color when I'm using it, even though I didn't feel any pain.

Needless to say, I'm not wearing it as tight (if ever) as that ever again.

I'm assuming it was too tight that whole time and that I may have caused damage to my testicles by restricting blood flow. I've been wearing it almost every week for about 2 hours. I have no problem with erections though, and I'm not in pain, although ever since I've noticed this I've felt discomfort here and there but I don't know if it's all in my head or what.

I read on the internet that if damage was caused I would be in severe pain. Is this true? What harm could this have been doing to me and, is it permanent?

This is not a joke. I never thought I would be one of those medical kinky dumb cases but here I am.

You're probably fine especially with no pain. See a doctor to ease your mind. You can make up a story or tell him you had a cock ring on. Doctors have seen it all.

Thank you for your reply. I'm kind of avoiding seeing a doctor at this point, and I was hoping I could just make sure there's no problem online. I tried posting to a few medical subreddits but I've not had much luck so I found Chastity Mansion.

I'm hoping someone out there will share their experience if they had a similar one and what they did or what happened.

Exactly how tight is your base ring? If you can get the tip of your little finger (including its first knuckle) underneath it you should be fine. If you are not in pain and your balls feel OK then I doubt if any damage has been done.

My sub-hubby has been locked in his cage 24/7 for well over a year now. His balls sometimes get a slightly darker color but certainly never blue and he has good blood circulation in them and no pain.

Pain will alert you to severe damage unless it’s very slow gradual reduction of bloodflow. Some men have painlessly destroyed their testicles with banding as repeated use can damage the cords. If you don’t feel like your testosterone has dropped, they are probably fine.

I'm not sure if I know how I can identify that.

I would be very surprised if you have caused any issues.

I am fairly certain you haven’t caused any permanent damage. The first thing you would have noticed before any pain is the color, which happens regularly. Excitement, long periods of attempted erection, cause the trapped balls to be pulled and color change happens. The key is if:
    1. They get cold, and stay cold.
    2. They don’t return to normal after ring is off
Pain is a great indicator when something is wrong, but don’t be overly concerned unless it doesn’t go away.

They are more resilient than people think, just remember that the ring is there to keep the cage on, and tight enough so the whole works doesn’t slide down. They aren’t cock rings, you don’t want it to constrict blood flow.

Probably not, but this isn't the place for medical advice. Most of us aren't doctors, and none of us can see the testicles. See a doctor if you have doubts.

I’m not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV, but I recently had bilateral inguinal hernia surgery. My surgeon told me that my testicles and penis would turn dark from bruising and blood settlement associated with the surgery. Sure enough ... they did.

The tight ring could have caused testicular bruising and/or even the rupture of small blood vessels .... all of which could have resulted in the dark color.

If there is persistent pain and/or the color does not return to normal you might want to see a urologist.

if you haven't got any symptoms beyond "discomfort here and there" I wouldn't think there's anything to worry about
