Lots of unwanted hair. How do you pervent them dam festered hairs n bumps. I have been shaving my cocklet area for several years but just recently (1 1/2 months) ago started shaving everything from waist down. I love how my panties and other clothes feel after shaving.
After a couple days when the hair starts growing out I end up with fester hair bumps. I use lotion afterwards and bath everyday useing a nylon bath scrubber to scub my skin to help keep pores open and still end up with bumps. I have tried useing nare also still the same results. Never waxed but guessin as hairs grow out would be the same

Any of you gurls have any tips ?

Laser hair removal is best. You can find deals for whole body for $1,200. Also look on Groupon.com.

Silly question, i'm sure, but do you remember when you started shaving private area, did you have same issue at start? I assume you're using same approach for legs as down there. Maybe newly shaved area just needs to go through an adaptation phase? I have more the other issue, bumps by my clit, which i sort of expected. But no issues elsewhere. Do same approach as you. Good luck.

I know laser removal is probably the best option but not something I can justify spending big bucks on
I thank you for your input tho Jessica and by the way you are a hottie

The direction makes a difference, I go with the grain. Not as smooth but no bumps

Being a real blonde, i don't figure things out easily, but... how do you determine the 'grain' of hair? Is it the way it lays down or do you cut where it comes out of the skin first? I've always seen that, but not been sure how to execute it. Thanks for any help.

Yes missy it is the way the hair lays. I normally go against the grain because it leaves a smoother feel because you are cutting the hair closer

I use an epilator but that takes an adjustment too. If you go that route, buy the highest quality one you can find (Braun about $120), maybe wax first before using first time and have tweezers and a lighted magnifying glass ready to deal with ingrown hairs for a while. If you have time you can tweeze the areas first so that you get the root which helps with future epilating and not getting ingrown. If you don’t wax or tweeze first, the first time with epilator hurts like a bitch but rather painless if you epilate every week. Soaking in hot water also helps before epilating.

As a general rule always use peeling after hair removal to prevent or at least lower the chance of ingrown hair.
Will not prevent everything if you go against the grain, but should do its part for sure.

Another blonde question, what is 'peeling' ? Also, @Eve look through the threads for another shaving question. Someone recommended an after lotion treatment - something like no bumps. she swore by it. i've not been able to find in local drugstores, but maybe online.

Hi missy and no such thing as a bad questions blonde or otherwise.
I can say I've never seen nor heard of no bumps but that don't mean much. I generally either use jergens original scent smells like cherries or ponds original scent gentle small

When I was young and started shaving my face it was brutal. The best razors at the time we’re double blades. When triple blades came out the abuse on my skin was less. I now use a Fusion five blade razor. And it’s really nice. The blades are expensive but the shave is excellent and they actually last much longer so the cost evens out.

Anyway, use the best blades you can get. Try a five blade razor if you’re not, the multi blades cut the hair in a way that it’s not as sharp which doesn’t abuse your skin.

I’ve also heard shaving cream matters, so experiment with different ones. You may find your more sensitive skin doesn’t like the one you’re using.

I've never had good luck with cheap razors. So I just get the Fusion blades at Costco. It’s painful buying a huge package but that lasts a long long time.

    Good luck
Please let us know how it works.

BTW I hope they’re high quality ones. Cheap ones IMHO aren’t worth the expense as I’ve never had good luck with them.

if you a very very hairy man with lots of hairs everwhere then its hard to get all the hair to go and men like that have got still dark bits all on there face still even after they shave. to stop little bumps come up tho get some body scrub and mitts and then the little bumps wont ever come.

Just don’t try to epilate or tweeze facial hair.
