Getting back to basics and the original Chastity Mansion charter

For me respect has a lot to do with gender.

On meeting a woman for the first time I automatically afford her a degree of respect unless she proves undeserving of it in some way. Additional respect can of course be earned if deserved.

On meeting a guy for the first time I will be polite but my full or proper respect for him has to be earned.

I understand your point of view. I agree. However, with internet exchanges where there is no face to face interaction, no video chat, no voice chat, only text and occasional imagery like this forum, there is an unique opportunity to be free of that. What I mean is, gender is more conceptual without 'verification' In my time here, even having been duped by the snake, I've never entered any real stock into anyone being one sex or the other. So despite the negative outcome and overall feeling of being lied to, it makes no difference really, as I cannot discern gender 100% positively with any of you. Yes, there are many pictures floating around with breasts, or enough of a body shot to be able to tell, but, what actually says that is the person who is entering the data?

To my mind, as of now, this place is still a place to have open discussions on a philosophical level. Experiences can be conveyed, ideas shared, general information and techniques all posted to serve as aids to real life. So long as verification is lacking from this site, that level of ambiguity will remain. That level of -you should question what you read- and formulate your own ideas remains. People can have a cerebral experience with no strings attached, but with moderation a level of civility can be enforced. It has worked for about a decade so far.

Once you enter verification, all of the relationships will change. If the intent of this site is to keep men submissive and respectful to women, it will be less a camp of people interested in the same kinds of things and more a regimented us and them. And respect will need further enforcement.

To be honest, if being a member of this site required either being a female key holder, or a male in chastity, and verification of either were required for permission to enter the site, that would be in a way, Orwellian, but, also kinda great. After all, we are here by choice. For now.

Unfortunately, on a site whose entire raison d'etre is defined by gender then clearly it is very important.
Your approach of (if you'll permit the paraphrase) "Assume nobody is who they seem" would be fine if this were a board about books or art or carpet tiles, but it is not. On this site there are tacit implications based on gender, therefore it's very difficult to have philosophical or meaningful discussions of any kind where that is uncertain, or cannot be taken as read. Simply because nobody's experiences can be demonstrated as true, and the whole site becomes a great work of fiction. Regrettable, but true.
I would bet most people here hope for a little more than that.

I don't think there's anything Orwellian about verification. Plenty of sites, especially adult sites, require it.
I think we are talking purely about gender verification though, not any existing chastity status (a site only for those already locked or locking someone would hardly be conducive to attracting new members).
What would certainly happen though is an even more dramatic shift of the female:male ratio in favour of the latter.
For what it's worth I agree that would be pretty great. Better 10 legitimate ladies here than 10,000 fakes.
I wonder though, would there even be 10?

I couldn't care less about the pseudonyms people use, but on a site based on Femdom, I think the option to verify gender would be beneficial.

Here is another issue - there are many households where a single profile can be accessed post verification by more than one. So how do you propose we get around that? Verify every time you log in?? nonsense.

There are about a metric bazillion possible ways to do it, depending on the requirements of the site.
It's actually fairly common on adult sites to have an option for users to verify that they are, in fact, who they say they are. In this way other users can gauge who to take seriously, and who to ignore as timewaster or fantasist.
A tool, nothing more. I honestly don't know why you'd be so afraid of it, unless.....

Yes I need you to explain, I am not on any other site so I wouldn't know the depths of such matters on so-called 'adult sites'

 

if you are thinking anything here is worth more than the degree of attn required to be a fantasist, perhaps it is you who has taken this to a logical extreme.

 

Most verification is done via a series of 2 or 3 photos with the user holding a piece of paper with their user name, the site name, and the current date on it and posting them to their profile (or a specific forum set up for verifications). You don't have to show your face, but you do have to show enough to allow others to see that you are a certain gender (or have certain features relevant to whatever the subject of the group.forum is about).

As I said about a metric bazillion posts ago (and borne out, I think, if you read the original charter for this site, as per the OP and thread title) I think most people here, myself included, would hope this is a little more than a pure fiction /fantasy site.
