Up until now - all you could do was Quoting, and make a new post. Makes everything very clumsy and difficult to overview all together...

Now You have - what You already has on the profile page:

    You can now:
    • comment on posts,
    • like comments on posts,
    • Edit comments on posts,
    • report comments on posts ,
    • attach to comments on posts
    • etc. etc....
on every post - even this one;-)

And The "Watch Post" Gives You an unique way to stayed tuned!

I hope that this will be a vehicle for even more vivid debate here on CM:)

    Take it away.-)

  4. All joking aside

You can edit comments how long after??

This could cause real havoc with people posting comments on old posts starting a sub thread that can go anywhere.
Is this a wise move that could be so open to abuse .

The limit is five minutes to alter your own comment. (Moderaters and admin has more)

Replying to old posts has always been the case, so what's the big deal?
The debate can be more vivid in my opinion.

OK, I am getting used to the fact that any change is being looked upon in the negative way.... I can live with that, so don't You worry for me:)
Since 11.am ( UK- time) we have had more than 15.000 visitors today.... try to figure out how many that will add up to in a year... if we have around 20.000 a day.

I am confident that many of these could convert to active users, if certain things in here are changed....

    We shall see:)

    c. 20.000 x 365 = you are looking at three quarters of a million!

No - you got the numbers wrong:) 20.000 x 365 is in fact 7.000.000
SEVEN MILLION VISITORS IN A YEAR....

Why not go for 10 million?

Hey I just saw that Yesterdays total number of visitors surpassed 26.000 ( Go to homepage ->bottom right, where I yesterday at 11.am installed the visitor counter) so that would indeed bring the total numbers a year up to 26.000 x 365 = 9.490.000 Million. So 10 million is really not that far away....:)

Worth a thought or two, right....?

Is that real people or bots search engines spamers and people who get by mistake .

I would suggest the number of real people who stop long enough to create an account which I think you may have to to read anything interesting will be a very much smaller number.

As the site gets more complex and takes longer to load and navigate around it will not be so attractive. Especially as more people will use their mobile device waiting for the bus either it's simple and quick to find something or move on.
It's also preferable to have text only if I am on the tube or the bus . I can read with out attracting the person next to me's attention.
Will be having a look on my new android 6 tablet later see how things are.

The ratio for bot-engines seems to be apprx 1/10 of the visitors number ....
To put things in perspective - Fetlife annonces that they have like 5. million visitors - pr. day!
However that has to be spread out on God knows how many Fetishes and Groups...

But 10 million visitors pr. year is not bad for a site like CM. Not Bad at all.
And makes it important to look at what face we actually presents to our many visitors.
Of Course we would like to convert many to become members, but perhaps that is not the only objective we should have....

  10. The site is correctly optimized for mobile devices, so it can be configured to load with a smaller footprint. I just viewed the site w/Google's mobile friendly checker, and it seems fine. I think concern about load times are unwarranted. It shouldn't be a problem.

Nobody has been more critical of the site than I have, but I can also comment when I see positive things as well. And I think the site has been moving in the right direction the past two weeks or so, despite a few hiccups along the way. This morning (1 Sept), I like what I'm seeing. Good job, Jens.

  11. It looks very different in android 6 on a tablet I will say .
