Fake Female profiles - plague destroying our lifestyle!

Both 45 & 46 still there as far as I can see! Or am I missing something?

 

I used to be on a site where they had "Verified Real Women", or something like that. They would be verified by a Skype call with the Webmistress I believe. I believe they also had verified women only areas, which I would think might be a real attraction for some women.

I think part of the reason for this was that some female dominant "posers" (if you will), managed to screw up a few real life relationships for some members on the site. Now certainly there is blame in many areas for that, not the least of which is some personal responsibility and accountability. However, it does underscore that the issue is in fact can be quite serious and not just a dishonest inconvenience. Truth be told, I wouldn't mind something like that here. For those of us practicing the lifestyle in real life, this would certainly do more good than harm. That's my nickle's worth anyway...

 

i know of a site that verifies identity and gender by having the member simply provide a face selfie picture of themselves with the home page of the site open next to them. the member then simply provides this selfie to the site administrator(s) certifying that it is indeed themselves for the site administrations verification.

 

I'm sure anyone challenging such logic would be branded as false. Well I don't care! Don't think for one minute should such a rule be enforced here, you wouldn't end up with a site that just had male members discussing their latest cage acquisition and how wonderful their wife/gf/kh is. And in the spirit of fairness, this type of rule should include all members, male and female. However, lest we forget, once your identity is verified on any site, you are then open to all manner of attention. Remember, there will be people on this site who may well be known in vanilla, both locally to them and nationally to many. Female verification may seem at face value an advantage, but I think overall, huge disadvantages would prevail. So, what kind of site do you want?

 

This thread is certainly attracting our members from the year dot and it's very nice to hear from them once more. Please don't leave it so long before you pop in again.

 

I did and do agree with the OP gender pretence is wrong but I now revise my initial reaction

If the OP of a thread is clearly addressed to a particular section of the general community then if you do not identify yourself as amember of that section and you've not been asked directly then don't respond.
Doing so is just bad manners.

Very true. You have hit the nail on the head. And therein lies the problem. By this sort of required verification I couldn't (for various reasons) meet requirements like those myself.This is not an easy one. But there is no hurry. For the sort of site we want the next step is the ongoing server upgrade and what follows from it.One thing at a time.

Where any any point in my post was anything mentioned about required verification? *Sigh* me dost think some of the ‘ladies’ doth protest too much. And that dear readers in the gist of the OP’s issue. I’m disappointed for one.

The one thing that I did not see in ANY of the posts on this thread (I may have missed it) ...

If you VERIFY a person as being a women ... the first thing that is going to happen is she is going to be inundated with Chat requests / PM's / etc ... and then we are going to go back to the thread that discusses ways to limit that.

So while in principle it is nice to know that you are in fact talking to a Male / Female and that you are getting the fantasy / reality / perspective / etc that you are seeking let's be realistic here.

To me VERIFYING is creating as many problems as it is trying to "solve" and it has been pointed out on this thread it will most likely not solve the issue in the first place.

 

OK ... well, I do not remember you having an issue with unsolicited requests from "men" ... maybe you do, maybe you don't ... but I do remember a thread that went on and on about this and that women felt they had to "hide" while on CM because they would get run over with requests .

Which as you state "you turned chat off" ... which I believe was where most of the problem was ... and was the suggested solution for them.

With all that said, what benefit does a female member get from being verified?
The only benefit I see is that all the men wanting to talk to a verified female will be annoying her all day every day. So really the benefit of a female being verified is to benefit the men ???? that would be in bad form anywhere but especially here.

I am surprised this thread has ran on so far. Why should females verify? So all the ladies can jump through hoops to prove their gender. Why?
There are fakes we all know some female profiles are fake.
I don't think I would like to find out I had been locked and teased by a man.

Its no big deal to me if I am talking to a male or female on here. Maybe thats because it is only talking.
I would feel sorry for some poor sod who thought he was forming a relationship with an imposter.
So if things do go that far then verification would be a private thing between them.
