While @King Hippo is right, of course, like you @Jah Rubbings I cant stop thinking about how/why chastity changes me so much. But evolutionary wise, I would point out that women have been using our small heads to lead us since long before Cleopatra (or Eve!). The only thing new is using technology to lock it up.

 

IMO, chastity, FLR or any other fetish is not a byproduct of just evolution, but mostly economics.
Any non-vanilla type of relationship requires either being a member of the ruling elite in a primitive society or being a regular Joe in a highly advanced society capable of producing a lot of cheap goods and maintaining a high standard of living while giving you a lot of free time.
To put it simple, if you're hunting mammoths with a sharpened stick and your wife gathers berries, you're far less likely to develop refined sexual tastes than if you're a PHP coder and she's an artist and both of you work from home.

 

Well to have an evolutionary slant, male would have to be let out of cage long enough to reproduce to pass along gene for emphasizing chastity. Seems more like a spinoff on other sexual identifies or a learned behavior.

Chastity is interesting because it's a really unlikely fetish. I don't think any of us can point to early erotic experiences that fixated us on the kink... it's very much a case of discovering it as an adult and clicking.

I have two hypothesies.

First is that it's something weird around gender. Nature can afford for men to be very variable in the way our minds and bodies work as long as some of us breed. Perhaps we simply have a mild dysphoria/dysmorphia which hitherto would have not found an expression.

Second is that this is somehow an evolutionary trap related to submission, which itself is an evolutionary trap, similar to the drive to consume refined sugar. In other words, at the root of this is a useful adaptive behaviour with no built in off switch, because in the wild the circumstances would act as limiters. Submission is useful, kink and chastity in particular takes the brakes off.

As someone else said. It’s about control. We are seeing women take a more dominant role in relationships and men moving toward (even) more submission in relationships.

All one has to do is look at education, business, and the rest of society. If we look with an open mind we can see the dynamics have been changing for many decades.

So more and more women deciding to use chastity on their men makes sense. Also look at the growing popularity of cuckolding. Women have always had multiple sex partners, so it makes sense that we see women openly or near openly having more partners makes sense.

 

Submission is more likely to be what they literally call the sneaky fucker strategy enabling non-alpha males to survive and mate. Submission-adjacent kinks like cuckolding and forced bi fit that picture: "Look at me, I'm so helpful around the cave and I'm no threat to the Alpha, I even blow him when he wants it, and happily watch him service his harem..."

 

The concept of Evolutionary Trap is also important - Femdom takes the SF strategy and somehow makes it an open ended end in itself.

it's hard to see any evolutionary explanation for something that, be definition, would fail to allow the reproduction required to maintain the species. Unless it's a negative, and unworthy men are deliberately removing themselves from the gene pool.

 

Unless it's one or both of two things:

1. Random variation, or even other useful traits, sometimes result in men having a mild dysmorphia (think that's the right word) over their genitals. This mostly* has no impact on breeding, until chastity devices start appearing.

*Some evidence for people in the past deliberately submitting to castration or castrating themselves etc.

2. It's an Evolutionary Trap (the kind of thing that has a species of Australian beetles becoming endangered because shiny beer cans are more attractive than females of the same species). Submission is a good breeding strategy and thus hardwired. However, Femdom and chastity ping that instinct in ways it was never evolved to cope with.

 

what you are looking for is "prolactin". depending on the orgasm depends on how much is released into the xy bloodstream. masturbation gets small amounts and piv gets large amounts. the more prolactin in the blood the less sex he wants. the faster it is cleared out the sooner he wants sex. it is there to prevent death from exhaustion from too much sex. as it turns out not having sex for 2 or 3 weeks xy's releases just as much as if they were having sex. it's a built in protection from trying to mate when there is a more alpha xy present. many xy's will tell you that it is easier to be locked up months at a time than having sex every two weeks. it is all about prolactin. the longer you have high levels of prolactin the more submissive you will be. it is evolution's way of protecting xy's until the right mating situation presents itself. it is also part of what makes long term lockups rewarding.
