In my previous post, I mentioned I had some issues with my cage, as a small divot appeared at the base of my penis. So, I took a week off to heal before caging up again. Feeling cautious upon starting up, I took a few precautions. Firstly, I put a bandage over the area, since I figured if it started bleeding again, that would record it. I also began uncaging and checking things over both morning and night, replacing the bandage every morning. Everything seemed fine for the first two days. But just this morning, I woke to find myself actively bleeding from the area, so much so I had to mop the area with a paper towel.
I really wish I knew what was going on. I've been over the cage with my hands and discovered no ridges or little bits of metal that could be cutting into me, so this must be a friction issue. But I've been using baby oil gel this time around, applying both day and night after my inspections. I've also been trying to avoid porn and anything else that would make me hard. Nighttime erections also seemed to stop at day two, or at least they weren't waking me up. So I'm just a little confused on how I got hurt. Was putting the bandage on a bad idea, did it do more harm than good?
Decided I'm gonna try another cage before I give up entirely, just in case it's a gap issue or something. Does anyone have any experience with cages from the oxy-shop? I presume they're better quality than the cheap Chinese cages. Thinking of getting this one from them https://oxy-shop.com/collections/st...optional-1-77-45mm-lenght?variant=47398121290
And then, as a final question, what do I do with my old cage, since I don't plan to wear it again, can I recycle it?

That cage you referenced on the oxy-shop is a typical chinese model, just priced with a higher margin by that reseller. It may still suit your anatomy better, but don't expect significantly higher manufacturing quality.

As to a possible cause for the issue you've experienced with your current cage, I'd advise you to take a close look at the junction between the bottom bars and the ring. You may not have felt any asperity with your fingers, but the skin on your flacid shaft can get into crannies that a finger would not probe. I'm thinking there is a sharp'ish edge somewhere in there

The trouble may be where the "bars" meet the lower ring of the tube. Typically the Chinese manufacturers don't do a very good job of filling any gaps when they weld the pieces together so the maybe a slight edge that's irritating your penis.

As zorglub said, the quality of the products from Oxy-Shop aren't likely to be of a higher quality that those directly from China.

You can recycle your old cage as you would any other steel waste.

Money is always an issue but this is a body part that you are locking in a cage. Go to the mature metal site and get a cage, they help with sizing and will make adjustments after sale if required. A proper fitting cage is the key to success, no pun intended.
