Hi I am about to purchase my first chastity device a CB6000s. On the CB-x.com website they advertise a premium lubricant to use when slipping the penis into the plastic cage. Do you think I should pay the 17.95 for this or will some other non-sticky lubricant that is cheaper, do just as good a job? Any preferred products you might suggest would be aprreciated.
    Thanks for your help

When I used to use a cb6ks, I used a pop sock, it's like a sock made of pantyhose material if you know what I mean. Put your penis in that, into the tube, then pull the sock out of the slit at the front of the cb. Worked perfectly and no need for lube.

Thanks, so I guess it is just a short nylon stocking the size of a sock? Could I cut a nylon stocking and make something that would also work?

As for day to day lubricant I would advise using some at least initially. Over time you may find you don't or don't always need it.

My personal preference is Johnson's Baby Oil Gel. If you don't overdo I find it stays where you put it and tends not to make a mess.

Baby oil is good too it goes in more easily if you are trying to get some into your cage without removing it but be aware it may also run out just as easily if over applied

I'm sure you will get any number of other suggestions once your post gets noticed..

Any premium lube seems like an expensive option.
Find a lub that works for you. Baby oil gel is common as mentioned as is Vasoline or other such lubes.

I guess it depends on what you are actually asking ...

Do you need lube when putting the tube on? No, the sock method is best for that.

Do you need lube for areas that get chaffe like behind testicles at the bottom of the base ring? Yes you need something. I wear custom metal and I still use a tiny drop of lube in 2 or 3 spots that tend to chaffe.

Does it have to be expensive lube? No, but when it comes to "lube" you usually get what you pay for. Cheaper "lube" tends to either dry up or soak in. More expensive "lubes" tend to last longer. So that will be up to you.

@filltee nailed it as far as what works for us. I've read many suggestions about the stocking/sock method but we rubbed him raw trying it so many times at first... ha. I'm sure it works for some but the baby oil gel worked like a charm for us! Plenty of options to get the job done. :)

Bonus: the baby oil gel works for makeup removal in a pinch and emergency leave-in conditioner for dry split ends. So it's a pretty versatile choice as well.

No lubricant is required. You can, sa mentioned above, use the stocking method or you can use the hoover method.

Thanks again, my cb6000s is on its way. Turned out they were out of stock on the premium extra lubricant when I ordered my device.

Get a PA and use the piece of string/cotton method.

However I am intrigued Miss Amanda ... the hoover method.
If enough of us ask nicely will you please enlighten us?

As others have posted, lube isn't necessary, but for me I prefer it. Not necessarily around the ring, but in the tube itself. It helps as things adjust and move around, so nothing sticks to the cage itself. I tried the little JO silicone lube that it came with, which I never had that brand before and it seemed fine, so I bought a larger bottle of it. When that ran out, I picked up a larger bottle of Pur, which is FAR superior than the JO. So if you find that you like the silicone lube, I'd suggest avoiding JO and go with PUR or Wet Platinum.
