So, I have been using Dawn Powerwash as a way to get the device totally clean. It's fantastic, in that it foams and destroys the "gunk" that can build up on the intersections of the bars on the inside of the device. Just spray, wipe and rise. I had been putting it in the dishwasher or soaking in soap and water, but this stuff really cuts through the grime created by lube and human excretions. My only caveat is that you would have to rinse thoroughly and then dry thoroughly, of course, after each cleaning. The stuff is strong so I am pretty sure you don't want any residue from it on your sensitive bits.
