I surrendered to my wife on 22 Sep after 27 yrs. I confessed my failings as her husband, admitted my most serious shortcomings and subordinated myself to her. She likes where we are going and how attentive and diligent I have been with housework and rubbing her feet. I think because we have been a very traditional, conservative couple she is tip toeing in as the head of our house. No doubt, we both have a lot to learn. A funny side note. She has told me no more referring to her as “My Queen” even in private. My reply was “but that is truly how I see you and my position under you”. She said “that is ok, just do not call me that”. I protested slightly and she looked at me matter of factly and said “is this about me or you”? I said, “it’s all about you”. She simply said “ok then” and moved on to another subject. I have to say, I really enjoyed her putting it to me that way. I am excited to serve her and look forward to any comments.
When an FLR is the husband's idea, it can be hard not letting it be all about indulging only his fantasies. Good on your wife for getting past that so soon!

I mentioned to her during that conversation how concerned I was about surrendering control/authority after being the alpha for so many years but after only three weeks mentally/emotionally it seems and feels to me like this is what I should have been doing from the beginning. Had an interesting exchange tonight. I evidently was being somewhat naggy/annoying about her making some routine appts. Truth be told, I was being a little OCD. I followed her into the kitchen and started to say more on the subject. She looked at me, smirked and said “who’s the submissive?” Knowing the conversation was over, all I could say was “that’s so not fair” with a big smile on my face. She was grinning pretty big by then as well. Tomorrow, 22 Oct is one month into this new journey for us. Tonight was funny and exciting at the same time.
No, we are not there yet. Today was our 1 month anniversary of her leading in our marriage. If it develops to that point, I would be good with it. Right now I am really enjoying serving her any way I can and lightening her load around the house
