    Hello Guys,

I was just wondering if a CB6000 (or any item in the CB Range) could be cleaning by just boiling it? I always did it with soap and toycleaners. but i want them once real clean.
So is that possible with the polycarbonate suff? or will it breakdown and melt?

    Greetz..

I never boiled mine and never read about anyone doing so. It may be possible but best check first. I am curious as to why you want to boil it. You clean your body with soap and water so what can possible get on the CB that does not get on your skin? I have no desire or need to boil my penis so I clean my devices, even my metal Jailbird, with soap and water and never had a problem in over 4 years of daily wear.

The only time I think boiling is appropriate is if buying a used device because he may have had some disease that soap and water is not going to take care of but what is on your CB is the same stuff around your penis so clean each the same way.

High temp. needed to boil will most likely melt the plastic/polycarb material. I wouldn't try it. If your really that worried, try 5 to 1 parts water and bleach solution. This will sterilize your CB. However, even long term use of bleach will not be good for your plastic products.

100 Deg water should not melt it but may distort it, I normally run my metal ones through the dishwasher at 70 Deg C. I do have a Cb6000 I don't use.I could stick it through to see what happens.

Polycarbonate melts at about 160°C, so you should be safe enought to do it.
Just to be sure, try boiling one of the rings you can't use, before doing it.

Still run it through the dish washer . If the washer is in good nick what comes out is just about sterile.

If you boil it the joints will split. They have been known to split when have they been washed and worn normally.
Oh and if you do boil it don't forget to take it off first.
