Can't say I like the curved base ring.
But I like the twist in the cage and the new star shaped interested lock n key.

Found on wish. But I don't have the link.

I think they call them torque head screws. You can buy them in a hardware store. Having your cage threaded for one is a different story

you are correct it is a torx screw BUT it is a security torx (Pin in the middle). now you can purchase the security torx driver but it is not standard.

Not a big fan of screws...jailbird had one and they constantly loosened....aren't you supposed to make so they are difficult to get off? Mine was hard to keep on(with screw). Some put plumbers tape on screw or a dab of locktite, I don't know but I shouldn't have to work so hard to keep a lock locked.

I did notice that the screw is flush with the device which is good. It wasn't on the jb, And is positioned on the front and not the side which is also good.

Have been thinking about this one... I DO like the curved A ring, much more comfortable, IMO

    About $US 12.00

The tamper-resistant (pin-in-star) head is just that, tamper RESISTANT, with the right insert bit (Harbor Freight, hint, hint) it can be removed and replaced. Perhaps a plastic seal around the A ring and the base of the cage ? A coat of nail polish that would show a mark if the key was inserted ? CA ? Braze it closed ? (JK)

I've dealt with this vendor before and items described as SS have always been SS, usually 304. (I'm a welder and like to mod my own cages, different alloys flow differently) At this price, there is not much of a downside, cut it up for parts...

The curved ring either works for your anatomy or not, some people like it. On the torx issue, it's again preference. I find bolts and screws feel more secure than small cheap locks - not having a security torx driver in the house is sort of like not having a lock pick kit or hacksaw - it comes down to a matter of honor...

I skipped it and I'm not sure if they are still around on the discount sites.

I had one. There was insufficient space between the cage and my testicles to wear it comfortably, it became spare parts.
