My wife made an interesting point when looking at my cock in its cage last night referring to it as my body jewellery.

    That got me thinking.

We don't really have a strong FLR and none of the kinky submissive play but my cock is restrained 24/7 in some form of chastity device and it only comes off when she wants penetration so to that extent I am chaste. However, I do swap between the cages and at times a double ring and yes I choose the one that works with what I am doing. I use the Steelheart 2 the majority of the time, the double rings if we are having a long cycle, the Bon4 if I just fancy a change so to that extent is it just a form of jewellery?

The cage comes off when required for sex, to shave and swap over but never at any other time and I have no desire to change that. My cock lives in a cage end of story but perhaps it is partly about self expression and jewellery.

Possibly closer to being a piercing or tattoo. Does she control the keys?

I can see body jewelry angle. But if you don't cum on your own, and only do it with her, formal permission or not, then it is functionally more than jewelry. It is nice to see that she likes it on you.

Maybe your wife was teasing you when she called your cage "body jewelery". You can take body jewelery off any time you like, but I assume you can't take the cage off without her permission!

The Cherry Keeper website called it "body jewelry".

Design vs. function. Because it is functional doesn't mean there shouldn't esthetic aspects to this. I've said this elsewhere, but I've had a KH call the cage "the ultimate body jewelry".

Certainly in a CFNM situation, a cage could serve both to control and to decorate.

My husband thinks of it as body jewellery. I don't. I see it as a form of commitment to your partner. I can put on a piece of jewellery and not share it with my significant other - but a chastity device is made for sharing. That's how I see it now and how my sub sees it.

That is an interesting perspective and true. I only get released when she wants it and therefore it is more than pure jewellery and has a purpose

As a naturist I am often naked or semi naked at home so I guess the decorative aspect is an advantage. IMG_8437.jpeg

I think there are devices that legitimately fall into both a decorative jewelry category and a functional category. Wrist watches are an example of this. To my thinking chastity cages can be like this and be functional and decorative.

I really don't think about it as anything more than an extension of myself.

When asked about it in either the gym or at the swimming baths (if anyone remembers either of those) I have always said it was a piece of body jewellery my partner bought me and I wear it to honour her.

No one has ever pressed for any more information.

I originally had plastic devices which were, let's just call them, functional.

When I bought my first steel cage, on seeing me wearing it the first time my wife eyes lit up and she also said it looks like jewellery, it was very obvious she much preferred the shiny steel.

To be honest, the aesthetic aspect of chastity was what got me to buy my first cage. I just think a penis looks way better locked in a cage, whether it is to prevent erections or not. A piercing or ball ring is kind of the only way to keep penis jewelry from falling off anyway so I don't think it's too much of a stretch.

My lifestyle is currently too active to support a PA cage, but when I have the time, I'll definitely be getting a Steelwerks Crucible or Evotion Bijou.
