Thanks for the nice explanation. About the length: I read often about till the base ring (from the chastity cage, I assume), wot happens when it is shorter? My kh has me wear one about 10-12 cm long. It’s attached to my cage and I wear it for days at a time. There is no chance of pulling out. My advice (ymmv) is to start short and work up if you want. I can confirm a steel urethral tube does indeed make going to the bathroom a lot cleaner and easier. Although I do wear a thin pad for the drips. I got mine from Etsy.
