Personal dynamics are the driving force behind most relationships and the longer together, the more entrenched one becomes in that dynamic. Then things change and a period of adjustment kicks in, but one never knows where one will end up or how long that period lasts. During that period of adjustment, many other emotions and experiences flow in and out, often triggered by certain events, leaving one feeling either elated or exhausted and anything in between. The cheesy phrase 'journey' often used to describe the transition from one life to the next. What is unpredictable, is the sudden feeling of fragility, a realisation of ones mortality. What you thought you were, is not who you are, events have changed your views, feelings.

It's ok to feel fear and apprehension and excitement, these states are pretty much guaranteed to feature. But inside, you are still you and your value is what really counts, to yourself and others.

What one does discover during such journeys, is that any one state in that period is not necessarily who you have become, it's just a point in time on the way to the next you!

Don't be surprised to find that during that period of change, what seemed like a good thing suddenly changes again, possibly as a result of another triggering event and off you go again. Less energised by what one moves from, building apprehension of what one is moving towards.

Don't worry, that feeling you had when you thought you had found something that charged you, made you feel excited, that drew you in, was just another staging post. Enjoy it for what it is, a temporary happy space. It may not last, that's why it's only temporary. Accept that you may have to move on again.

There are many personal examples in the above, i have left those out. That wasn't the point of this blog. It was more about the bits in between the personal things, the common ground. I was inspired to write this by others who are on their own journeys and having good and bad times with it. You are not alone, many are with you.

    One life, no fear!
