So how do you keep chafing from happening on the underside of the scrotum where the ring sits next to the taint? Seems to get kind of raw there and almost scab like. Any suggestions?

    Let it heal.

Then find a uncented condensed hand Moisturizer.

I use Norwegian formula hand cream and it's small to keep in your pocket or jacket and unsuspecting.

Good idea! Thanks! It’s the only thing I have a hard time with. Other than that I’m good

I use Aquaphor, which is petroleum jelly based.

But one thing you might also look at is the "gap" between the cage and the ring - if this is too small, you seem to get more chafing.

Hmm possibly. It almost seems too big at times because sometimes like right out of the shower it’s almost like I can fall out of the cage

baby oil gel is good for me. That doesn't stop bad things from happening if the ring is too tight though.

What cage do you have? There are many other reasons why you might be scraping enough to draw blood and force a scab - the ring has a rough edge, there's a little piece of plastic/metal that needs to be filed down, etc.

The other suggestions are spot on. I might also suggest not wearing a device until that spot is fully healed, which might take a little longer than you think (or might want).

So, double check the ring for any rough spots. Something that seems very minor can cause problems when in contact with the skin for extended periods.

I’ve used Chapstick Moisturizer (blue tube) for years. It lasts at least 8 hours, has stayed after swimming, and isn’t as greasy as lotions.

So I just have a low budget cage right now that’s stainless steal and doesn’t have any touch edges or knicks or anything. I am letting that spot heal completely and it’s just about healed. I’ll try using the chapstick I think since I always have some on me anyways so another thing of it wouldn’t be odd or anything. Thanks for the help!

I always use a baby oil, but using a hand cream sound less catchy. Have you ever compared them? Any cream is absorbed over time making the skin less slippery.

True you might need to reapply but having it in such a small tub is great. But this might suit those who work in an office or a seated job

I took a used up small hand sanitizer squeeze and filled it with the baby oil gel - it works great as it's essentially the same consistency. Easy to keep in your pocket, or a drawer at work

It's the little things that work.
