I find I tend to self brainwash by the memes and material I look at on line. Does anyone else find this to be true?
Agreed! There is so much about chastity that is really psychological. Many times, I feel that the physical lockup is really just symbolic. Face it, if I really want to get out of any of the cages I've worn, I could do so pretty easily, whether destroying the cage or not, along the way. But, then you think "Where would that leave me or what would be the consequences of getting free of the cage?" I would still need to deal with my Mistress or Keyholder and that would likely have more severe and lasting consequences. It works on your brain, for sure.
The damage to our D/s relationship for an act like that would be fundamental. You are right, it's easy to escape but knowing the consequences behind such an act would go against our very nature as submissives.... that act takes on such a repugnant and damaging tone we would never seriously contemplate it. The loss of my D/s relationship with my Wife would be shattering for me. I so very much do NOT want to return to a vanilla relationship ever again.
