So body shaming is making any observation that someone doesn't like? That seems crazy to me.

Bro, fuck anyone who says something that doesn't fit the bill and go on with your life. No point in worrying about it and definitely no point in making whiney posts about it.

On the upside maybe the site will get a bunch of hits for this thread containing a douchey PC catch phrase! Those millenials sure love to be angry.

 

With respect, I did read the responses, if it was body shaming it was pretty light-hearted and done in a spirit of fun. And losing weight is generally accepted as being sound healthy advice, especially if you are getting a bit of a beer tummy, as you say. It could actually be seen as concern for your well-being if you choose to read it that way. I really don't think it was meant to be a put-down. There are some sharp wits on this site who get to the heart of the matter in about 2 seconds and I enjoy their observations on life. Take it with a pinch of salt. I bet you secretly laughed while no-one was looking!

I think this is unapropriate. If the coments made him post this IT got to his feelings. And you shod be ashamed for trying to make it lock like a small thing. If it hurts your feelings its unapropiat. Hope you will stay with us @whizz not all of us Are assholes.
I find that mutrual respeckt and Nice pepol is what this site is mostly made of.

 

You have my upvote for this post, because I had the same expierence when I reported about my self build neosteel hip module (from the same member). I did not take it serious, because some men are here to get treated dominantly from (female) members and some (really female?) members fullfill that wish. That's a game I'm not interested in, but some people are. So I'd say, be easy on taking answers personally, and the others should probably a bit more gentle.

 

Its a form of bullying pure and simple. Its nothing to do with dominating or submitting.
I am sub to one female and one female only @Mistress Jules.
Being a female ( or posing as one ) does not give anyone the right to bully.

We certainly do not want a reputation of body shaming here on CM.
And I must say that in this case I am some what in doubt. What do we have here?

We seem to have a mix of quick lighthearted comments, and health-advice, more than we have "body shaming".
I think the lesson to be learned from this is to know the person behind the question somewhat more before your throw your humor and advice at him.... Some are not up for it - for a lot of various reasons. So step in with a little more care, and hold your guns until You know that it will be received well, in the right spirit, and does not comes through as hurtful.

Dear @whizz - I hope You will be able to move on and enjoy the Mansion, as intended. From the support you have received here in this thread, - that I'm very pleased that You started - You should be able to conclude that we in fact DO care for one another here on CM

IMHO, the first two answers were spot on - you asked what you should do and they gave you their opinion . They were not body shaming but pointing out the obvious that it's another good reason to lose a bit of weight. Nobody was nasty about it.

 

I agree with the point that some people are different when it comes to the level of humour and type of responsethey can take. Also knowing the people behind the response is important.

@jemima is one of the sweetest people on this forum and wouldn't say anything to upset anyone. In fact we recently had to beg Jemima to keep posting when she thought she had upset someone. @Mascara^Snake on the other hand will never mince her words. She will be harsh when she feels it is called for, but also not cruel. If you need advice she is definitely the person to ask, but don't expect a quick and easy answer.

If those answers had been directed at me they would not have bothered me, but that is not the point, they were directed at someone else who was more sensitive than I am. Our measurements are very similar, I am a few cm taller and a good few kg heavier, so I am likely to have more of a belly. I have indeed cut out the pies, crisps, fizzy drinks and so on.

 

you posted regarding a problem you were having with body fat. I you feel insulted by somebody suggesting you need to lose weight to alleviate the issue then it's your problem.
As for your random and Alias and hiding comments, you are obviously being goaded into this personal attack.

 

Although the remarks were quick and abit blunt, the fact is that belt type devices are custom, intricately fashioned, and designed to fit you perfect or not at all. Either it didn't fit right to begin with, or body measurements changed.

I don't envy anyone trying to communicate the correct measurements to a manufacturer. I would hate to also rely on not only not gaining weight, but not losing it either, for my device to fit. Trying to get a perfect fit on a cage type is difficult enough.

I guess what I got out of it was an answer was given but not very delicately. I am not trying to invalidate how you felt, just at the time of reading I didn't think it was meant to be hurtful.Belts have the correct measurements or your measurements changed.

Hope you enjoy the rest the site has to offer. I have found most really friendly here, and this site to be a place to get away and belong.

 

Amanda, -I find it really funny that you use to accuse me of wanting to have the last word... Pick up a mirror.. I'm sure You have plenty ;-)

 

Because a full belt is so unyielding your soft flesh is bound to be the looser unless the belt breaks.
Now if you take a few moments to think how your body shape changes when you sit down the bigger the change the worse the situation gets.

Now with clothing it stretches and is much wider so the pressures are more widely distributed.

Thus the steel belt situation gets much worse because dimensions ie you change a lot more if you are a little chubby. It's not being rude just observational.
What are the options. Make the belt to fit you when you are sitting down and thus some what anoying when you stand up and the belt falls to the floor !

Or instead of spending possibly hundreds on modifications why not drop a few pounds ( thus the pie advice ) and you will be much more comfortable .

This is making me want to go out and get a Triple Fudge Sundae and wash it down with a couple of Lemonade Icecream Sodas and get a Blueberry Cheesecake put in the fridge for later.

 

In the end someone's feelings were hurt, and I feel sorry about that!
As my brain is the first to come up with silly jokes, I now understand, that it should be made obvious for everybody, that it's only a joke (and: yeah, sometimes I feel like I would burst if not letting it out).
As this is a little hidden space in the web where things are named, outspoken or confessed which even our parents or closest friends might not (want to) know, we should treat each others with the kind of kindness, the "intimacy" of our confessions in here deserves!
