    i use a stupid nook ,tablet good at everything exepect pix, so i spent a hour just trying to get a pix w my phone than posting it, the softwear would not upload it.im sure its something i did wrong . i should try again

    Just been looking at the membership list, well only the first 40 pages (800 members) the breakdown of that 800 members are........


    95 with profile picture.

    10 with pink box.

    35 with blue box.

    660 with green box.

    So it looks like the greens have a 4 to 1 majority on the rest of us.

    The reasons, maybe the green one's are more likely be just visitors to the site and don't what to give too much detail on there profile page. As for the pinks and blue, maybe quite a few of them don't know or don't want to download a profile picture. Until it becomes a rule of the forum then they are within their rights not to submit a picture. But saying that, I do think it looks better if you do make time to have a profile picture.

    There are bound to be many people who, because of the nature of the site, will not want to load a profile picture. If the site owners decide to insist on an avatar they will drive away a great number of people who post here. I don't know of any site where posting an avatar is compulsory

    I dont think there is any intention to make people post a picture for an avatar, but in the defense of those who would like to see some form of picture in place of the standard box they probably think it looks more friendly than just row after row of unidentifiable boxes. It might just as well be a serial number we are all given i agree not everyone will want to have an identifiable photo placed all over the site but there are many possibilities that would not do that although that would take just a little effort to accomplish and again maybe that is what the complainers are wanting to see. It doesnt bother me really but it is nice to be able to recognise posters by their avatar.
