Hey guys! So i now have a pretty functional full chinese steel belt that I am quite happy with. Of course a big issue like everyone seems to have is the horrible rubber lining always coming up which just won't work for me. So I am on the hunt for some good advice on what others have done to make the rubber lining not slip off every few hours.

-One quick fix thought would be to cut the lining into sections so maybe it wont be so forced to start sliding off on the back end curves.

    - I have read double sided tape works but did you do it on just the backside or also on the lip section?

    - Has anyone removed the lining entirely and maybe sanded the edges of the metal band round enough so it can be worn as is without cutting into skin?

    - Anyone find a better rubber lining out there that maybe has a bigger fold over the lip making it stay on much longer?

    - Anyone try glue or would that not be a good solution in case you need to get access to the few screws on the waist belt for adjustments

Just some thoughts I had and curious what others have done so I can get this solution fixed and be pretty happy with my full chinese belt as a 24/7 device.

Much appreciated and look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts

I bought one of the very early knockoff full belts and had the same issue. I tried to use contact adhesive without any success. The only think that work was to wrap it with gaffe tape over the rubber liner and S/S belt. It is not pretty but it worked. The only thing is the tape eventually get a bit smelly and had to take it all off.

So I dont have a good solution at all.

If you find something that works I would love to hear it as wearing the belt was fun and D loved the look of it. She couldn't stop touching it when we sleep together. constantly tapping her fingers on the front plate!!

One thing I saw on EBay was a leather sleeve that fit over the waistband. It seems to me that this could be an easy DIY fix. fold and stitch the tube, turn it inside out...Voila ! Perhaps sew it from chamois like they use to clean cars, nice and soft, dries quickly...
If you try this, drop me a note and let me know if/how it worked

Thanks for the idea but looking for something that can be worn 24/7 and can get wet for showers and such. Thinking about just finding a wider rubber type sleeve and giving that a try if nothing else seems to do the trick. The best ive heard so far seems to be heavy double backed tape so may run to home depot tomorrow and see what i can find. But thanks again for the idea as if it didn't want it to be worn in the shower a leather sleeve sounds cozy :)

The idea of a leather / chamois covering might be more practical both for fitting and to enable easy removal if you sewed a strip of velcro down the length of it.
It could be slipped off then for showering and replaced when you're dry.

No reason not to, would also make it easier to deal with cable/cables to back of waist
