Are we unusual?

I'm not sure what percentage of keyholders actually wear their keys but there are quite a few. Mrs Chaste would probably loose hers! So it's kept safely locked in a keysafe! When I say "safely locked", I might be wrong there because on the rare occasions that she opens the keysafe, I see her check her phone for the combination! And to be honest she has a habit of putting that down and forgetting where it is!

 

Working in the jewelry business I can tell you there are a lot of key shaped pendants and anklet charms out there. The key pendant/charm has always been a popular item for women to wear for various reasons. I think most women who are KH’s don’t wear chastity keys on a necklace because many chastity key designs really aren’t that attractive. My wife likes to look well put together when she goes out and I like the thought of her wearing her key around but she never wear it in it’s plain form. I bought her a white gold key pendant that very ornate. She likes that one and will wear it when we go out, it’s symbolic to us and still our little secret.

 

We noticed one that I know was an integrated lock key. She was in line at the grocery store and no one we knew. Saw another that might have been just decoration, was not a real key , more like a skeleton key.

 

My wife is waiting for me to buy her an appropriate gold chain for my key. She won't wear it every day probably just when we go out.

 

I just think it’s a chastity version if the Drake Equation. Multiply the percentage of couples into chastity x the percentage of those women who wear the key x the odds of them being in the same area as you x the odds it is at the same time and you get a REALLY small number. Does it happen, sure! But you probably have better odds playing the lottery.

 

M'Lady has a decorative key she wears all the time. She went to this for the reason Wonderwoman sub gave. We are active in the local kink community and have met other women that wear keys.

We have also seen women wearing keys just out and about. She hasn't started a conversation about their keys that I know of but she isn't shy about telling what hers is for when asked.

 

My madam, doesn’t wear my key, as she finds them ugly. But she does have several key necklaces, chokers and collars I have bought her, or she has bought her self. I have seen several women wearing key shaped jewellery when being out, but never Asked any of them about it.
If madam was asked about hers she would just tell them.

 

I think BarbCD has it right. The percentage of people into chastity is fairly small and unless you have an event that concentrates them into one locale, the odds are very slim of seeing another one. Plus as mentioned by WWsub, the key charm is popular enough without a chastity meaning, so even if you saw a key it doesn't likely mean it is a couple into chastity play.

 

I got my Wife / KH a custom-made, silver, necklace some years ago. It's a quite large circle, with a heart-shape inside that and a solid, key-hole shape inside the heart. She wears it every day, along with other necklaces a few people have commented on it over the years and she simply tells them: "it's for the key to his heart." Also true of course and no-one has ever wanted to take it any further.

 

Tiffany and Co have a nice silver key pendant at 170 GBP. What better way to say I love my keyholder? But seriously the point is that they are not punting tacky jewellery and definitely not targeting chastity symbology. I would still buy one

 

No, I don't think we're as unusual as one may at first believe.

Just because your wive wears her key on her neck, others may not. They may keep the key around their ankle, or even on their key chain. There are 7B people on the planet, so we're probably looking at a few hundred million that are into this, even if just on a temporary basis.

I am locked 24/7, but my wife has no desire to wear the key. She did once overnight on a necklace as a teasing thing and it scratched her up a bit, so that was the end of that. She keeps it locked into a box instead that can only be opened via her fingerprint (or a sledgehammer).

 

When I’m locked, my keyholder wears her key on a chain around her neck. She has stated several times that when I’m unlocked for periods of time that she feels naked and at times has mini panic attacks reaching for it thinking that it is lost. I guess the only solution is to wear the cage so she has “her key” and property locked more often.

 

I have never paid much attention before but yesterday I saw a lady with a key tattoo on the inside of her wrist. Got me thinking but realy it could mean anything.

 

That is without a doubt, one great question. How many of us reading this will be hyper aware for the next few days. I for one will be on the lookout for an exposed key on the next lady that appears to be dressed and wearing anything close to fetish footwear, paying attention to the ankle area to see if a key can be spotted. If nothing else life became just a little more interesting.

 

I bought my wife a Tiffany Key Necklace. It’s subtle and much more attractive than the actual key to my cage. She wears it everyday now.

Well it is already not often seeing one with a traditional Ring of the O any you wonder that you don't often see woman with a key as jewlery ???
Apart from the fact that you couldt always see it even if they should wear it ( lower necklace, bracelet or anklet below clothes) you often would not even recognize it as what it is.
My wife for example has one of our keys (some kind of imbus for a security screw) worked into some jewlery that you would recognize as what it is...

 

Why are these keys so damn ugly? It is likely why more women don't wewr them.
When my wife does, it's from an old cb600s. Just symbolic. I would like to get her a nice one.
