There is a common thread of 'infantilisation' through many of these scenes: adult baby obviously, littles, adult-school clearly too, where the conventions of parent/child or teacher/pupil relationship are observed.

Also maid (and similar junior/senior scenes) role where 'the girl' (or 'boy') will generally be treated in much the same way as you may treat a very young adult or very junior employee.

And indeed, in an FLR where the conventions of the heteronormative machism world are reversed and the man takes a subservient role, more often expected of a 'traditional wife'.

As I see it the use of 'clitty', dressing up in 'too young' &/or 'exagerated femme' clothing is a demonstration by the person using it, wearing them, that they are prepared to go along with that.

In effect they are choosing to 'put themselves down' in order to attract a Dominant and help the scene being played with them in the 'child' or junior role.

Which may grate with those of an egalitarian tendency, (as I am), until you realise that people voluntarily doing stuff that you personally find degrading if forced to do it, is not degrading to them, as they volunteered.

We desperately need this thread to brainstorm a replacement word for clitty from here on out. Since a big issue seems to be the marginalizing of the penis, I nominate clitosaurus.

 

I physically slap people who use that word in my presence and impulsively close the page when I see it (including this one lol).

Anybody using the word clitty is trying to be (for a lack of a better word) cutsie and they would apply the same thinking to other words/phrases....and yes, seriously, have a system for your Tupperware.

 

Yes, hubbie or hubby is a diminuitive not an abbreviation, as 'girlie' is to girl, or 'wifie' is to wife.

I use 'wifie' for women who are staying with me as 'almost equal' and lover, as they are not actually a wife, though they are temporarily fulfilling that function.

It is a put-down, in exactly the same vein as the list of words L-U-C-Y gave for a cock!

I find it fascinating how we use words without always fully understanding the context and nuances.

 

I see a growing weaponization of language that I find troubling- words which can't be said, words which must be said. However, I see nothing wrong with the words 'penis' and 'clitoris,' with no need to call one the other, or to use diminutives unless it's your thing, and if it is, go nuts. I'll try not to judge.

 

Words have always been weapons in the eternal battle between oppressors and oprressed, those with privilege and those without.

You can thank the intellectuals since the enlightenment, particularly feminists and those on the left for deconstructing language and the way it us used to exploit and oppressor.

And those on the organise right trying to shove the genie back into the bottle!

With few a few notable exceptions language political correctness, both on the left and the right, tends to be an "Emperor's New Clothes" kind of thing. Once it's pointed out people see how ridiculous it is and can laugh at it. It's the ideas behind words that are important, not the words themselves. When people don't have the intellectual fortitude to attack the ideas they attack the words.
