I've got some chaffing on the bottom of my sack near the middle of the sack near the butt. I want to keep going and it's not terrible. What should I apply on it to make it better without removal. I don't want to tell my wife it's a problem just kinda want to fix it. I've been using Aveeno lotion for the 16 days ive been locked. Any other suggestions? Thanks

Aveeno can be quite moist, are you sure this isn't adding to the movement of the base ring and causing chaffing?

Has anyone ever experimented with "Blister Pads, Blister Bandages, Blister Gel Guard, Waterproof Blister Prevention New Material Blister Cushions for Fingers, Toes, Forefoot, Heel" to address chaffing?

May not work with areas covered with hair.

    I had chaffing before.
Changed to a smaller ring to prevent so much movement.
    Stopped using hinged rings.
I moisturise before entry and dry properly after washing. No more issues.

I think if we’re discussing blister pads then the fit isn’t correct.
You wouldn’t keep wearing shoes that caused blisters right?

It was probably caused by to much slippage. Think I'll have to go a little less on the moistureizer.

Bandaids work well if there is no hair.

@Linjx014 Also, I suggest you try Neosporin.

Have put the occasional cotton pad under the ring - but is a bit fiddly to do it. It helps deal with moisture as well. Now that been in longer not needing to do this so much as things have settled down.

I've found that if something starts to sting, it's best to deal with sooner before an actual problem occurs. If it really hurst, best to take off and have a fuller inspection.

My current device is a complete ring, so no more hinges, which also helps.

Well I'm currently out she wanted it last night and wants it again tonight so I'm sure that's plenty of time things will heal on its own with out any help but thanks for suggestions. I'm going back in probly very reluctantly tonight afterwards so I might need to use some of these suggestions going forward. That was the longest stretch I've ever done it was 16 days with out remove besides a last Saturday shower and cleaning the cage.

diaper rash cream did wonders for me. so much so that I don't need it any more as my skin has adapted to the rings constant presence.

How are you cleaning yourself? You need to keep the cage surfaces where it contacts skin clean. Stainless tends to accumulate a crust of dead skin cells and sweat that will eventually rub you in a bad way. use a soft brush to get in and scrub it clean every day.

I use surgical tape. It sticks even after showers and it “breathes”

Excessive moisturising will only make it worse. Make sure you're fully dry after shower, i use talc powder.

For initial irritation…..vaseline, “it is hypoallergenic and it won’t clog pores”.
For an advanced rash(anywhere”…..calmoseptine , at your pharmacy, ask for it by name.

is it to the point that you have scabbing yet? That's the state that I'm in now. The chafing was terrible. Also realize I'm not sized correctly and need to adjust again. Not sure what I'm going to do with all of these left over cages and rings but c'est la vie.

This is where I am. I’ve tried different size rings. I can squeeze into a 45, but it’s really too small and hurts quickly. 50 and 55 are my favorites, I prefer the 50 but the chafing is bad. I’m trying band aids at this point and it seems to be better. I also have a 60, but I can slip a ball if I move in s certain direction and that really hurts.

Here’s an update. I found the 47mm ring from Kink3d is perfect for the inbwetween sizes of the mass produced ones. Wear it all the time. Sometimes without the cage. Custom is the way. Once I’ve gotten used to 24/7 X 2 we’re sizing a MM.
