    Hi,
I bought my china copycat Bon4m-s with a 44mm ring which is to small at night. Not seeing an option to just buy a bigger ring. Who knows a way to get just the ring?

Little different design of the hinge. Hope it is not a skin trap. He has all my 3 favorite cages in metal. S400L-S, HT and BON4. Thank you

Yes, well it probably is a skin trap. I recently bought his version of the Bon4M with a 48mm base ring and I have found I have had to put some black electrical tape over the hinge. And I wouldn't recommend the workmanship of the rest of the base ring either. The edges are smooth enough when you run a finger over them, but I am still getting chafing on one side. I have 45 mm base rings that fit me comfortably, but this 48 mm one does not.

I am in fact in the market for the original Bon4M. I'm moving on from Chinese knock-offs.

The original Bon4M, as sold in the Netherlands, I'm thinking is worth the difference in price.

I just ordered the one from the Netherlands. The one I got from the ebay seller (about two weeks ago) is now offically in the category of a learning experience . . .

Just got rhe 52mm ring in rhe mail on Wednesday and boy what a difference. It slipped off once with one escaped nut, but ever since perfect. Still recognize nightly erections, but no longer feel like i am banded and waiting till everything falls off due to lack of bloodflow. Very happy. Thanks for your help!

Good to hear. Comfort leads to long-term lock-ups, the holy grail around here.

I had twice now that one nut slipped out. To prevent an embarrassing situation I made a cord that has a loop at both ends and a slip knot on both ends so I can adjust the tightness around my waist and position left right of the cage. As a result it wears closer to my body and can no longer fall to the ground. The loops go around the center pin before I put the cage on.... and it is comfortable as well.

I find that the gap betwen the ring and the cock restraint part of the device is so important for comfort. The Bon4 genuine has spacers so one can adjust that gap. (The Asian knock-off has no way to adjust the spacing.)

Use of a spacer enables me to wear a smaller ring (e.g. 48 or 50 mm so I don't slip out) and yet not have the cage pushing down so much one gets the chafing effect and the balls excessively reddening. Lots of trial & error in the quest for fit and comfort.
    :)

I'm glad to hear you've found something that works for you.

The other thing it took me ages to realize is that wearing relatively tight pants (e.g. snug-fitting blue jeans) does not work well with one's ball ring. Basically, I've found they magnify discomfort and going to a larger ring rarely solves the problem.

So I'm gradually moving to more loose fitting dress slacks or casual slacks for everyday wear.

Someone placed an article on CM a couple of days agomentioning sliding a 6" piece of silicone 1/4" ID tape over the full ring till the holes for the guide pins. Did that! No longer have the sharpness of the ring. Ring diameter is about 2mm smaller, but so comfy. Great advise! Thank you! Also silicone is quitegood in preventing any sliding of the ring! 3 Days now. No sweating or irritation issues at all!

Sounds good. Glad to hear you've hit upon a solution!
I'll look for that tape for my own use.

Sorry it is not tape.... it's silicone or latex tubing. I sucked up some oil into it before I maneuvered it over the hinged ring. Then positioned it nicely between the guidepin holes!

That is it. I bought 1ft for about $3 at an Ace hardware store. Not the big outfitter like HomeDepot or Lowe's but a small hardware store that sells things by the piece instead of bulk.

Thanks for the suggestions (of where to buy and how to apply). Best, Chris
