What a great high bar to set! This is a fantastic way to do this and whatever happens, great. Whatever doesn't, there's always next year. It's diverse, experimental and open to some wonderful experiences - to me, one of the real reasons we do all of this ess and emm stuff.

Yeah... I think 2009 was a bad year for everyone...

W/we had plans, have a list of things/toy to buy and W/we haven't purchase many items yet...

W/we we're suppose to do a few photo shoot, but haven't had time or money do the ones W/we want.

I hope 2010 will be better for all of U/us.

Maybe instead of looking at 2009 as a bad year (and it's wasn't so bad for me), we all should start taking a little time and reflect on what we've done so far, what we would have liked to do and what we can do before the end of the year. Start making the list for 2010 NOW and plan on making it an amazing year after we finish this one off as good as possible.

Now with that said, I was going to respond a few days ago when MW posted this but I really wanted to think about it. I suspect that if MW looks back and reads some of her journal entries and posts she'll see what a busy year she had especially when school, relationships, kids, family, work, etc are all factored in. Maybe she didn't do all she wanted to but instead of looking at it that way, maybe looking all that was done might make things seem much better. I know that's how I'm looking at things in my own case!!!!

Anyway, I've heard MW will be coming to Virginia for the fall gathering and to visit MM so she'll have plenty opportunity to do things, and some may be on her list, and some may not so maybe those need to be included also.

 

i just came across my 2008 goals...life goals, not D/s or chastity. i was shocked at how little i accomplished that year. 2009 has been much better but i need to finish strong. i'll have to talk to Mistress about setting some D/s goals.

 

chastityslavejohn, thanks for the reminder of something I do to really get things done and that is to have make a list of goals at the beginning of the year, the beginning of each month, each week, and each day. For the year, I set some big, medium and small goals, In my case, I try to set 12. For the month I might have parts of the big goal, and some small ones, etc. Each day I have some regular chores to do and at least one or two things to do that are part of a goal and one or two things that I might or might not get done. Then I try to do one more than half or at least 7 each day. The idea is that if I get one more than half, I'm moving forward.

Years I've been very regular about this, I get an awful lot done. Years that I"m less careful about it I get less done. So you reminded me as we wrap up this year that I need to get back to doing this and throw in a few kinky things to do this coming year. So thank you.

And for my in 2009 I've completed a few major parts of a couple of very large goals, so this year and next year will be pretty productive in that two major goals will be completed next year and possibly two others.

 

no problem, tomf. Mistress got me started with goal setting. W/we have separate goals and mutual goals. W/we already started talking about next year.

No I haven't but have been doing this from years. I "developed" the technique by wanting to get things done. I suspect that the "idea" came from various management books, and a little trial and error of what works for me. In other words, the basic concept is nothing new. The only thing that might be different is the specifics on how I adjust things and follow through.

I'll see if the library has that book when I go to one (it's not like I don't have access to several and use them all on a regular basis), if so, I'll look it over.

Anyway, guess I should start working on thinking about 2010. BTW, did you post about your weekend? I hope all was well, and ask as I didn't want to miss a post. If things don't go as planned I'm sorry for asking.

 

Just picked up on this thread and - Queening Stool!

I followed the link and read the history of Queening. I was straining in my CB6000! Brought back some memories. Not exactly Queening but of being coerced into licking.
