    Tips for Naming Your Gerbil

Gerbils live about 3 to 4 years; their life expectancy is just a little longer than a hamster. It doesn't seem like they live all that long, but to a child who is getting a pet for the first time, this will be a part of their formative memories. Come up with a name that has personal meaning or look at your pet's unique personality. If your pet is a big napper, then "Tucker" might be a good fit. Or, if your gerbil zips around its cage in a tizzy, you might want to consider names like "Chaos," "Speedy," or "Scamper." Allow the pet to reflect you or its owner. So, if this pet is primarily for a younger child who has a favorite movie, by all means, explore some of those movie characters for potential names.

Mine would have to be Grogu. Although that is such a cliché now a days.

I wonder how many wives use 'gerbil' as a pet name for their husband's cock?

Every so often someone's post begging for help naming their cat or dog will scroll up on my feed. I usually look at some of the suggestions and riff on one. For instance, if someone suggests "Fluffy," I'll follow up with Lord Bently Fluffington Smythe, Esq.

I guess I was inspired by Elliot's poem regarding the naming of cats. Why not just put some English on it?
