Length of duration for the first time

I think that those times are about right - 1 to 2 weeks.

 

1 week then build up to larger durations. go for 7 days then 8...then 9...then 10 until you find a duration that works. But remember, your keyholder makes the rules.

 

Surely the right amount of time is the amount determined by the key holder! All you can hope is she doesn't decide to start at a year then work up from there!

 

I’m at two weeks at the moment, it’s tough when getting edged but if you can hold out the feeling afterward will push you to want to go longer. It took a little time before we made it past the week mark. But the correct answer would probably be as mentioned above, how ever long your key holder thinks is enough

 

That sounds reasonable to me. Our Domme friend suggested a minimum of 90 days when the wife and I first got into chastity. She said that is always her minimum required locked period initially then longer after that

 

I'd say the right length of time is to wait until he's begging and in tears, and then go one more day, at least.

I'd say generally you have lots of time ahead of you so why not just build up to things slowly, beit the time between edging or decrease in frequency of his orgasms.

If its your first time being locked I would start with 24 hours.
You can build on that to suit you it not a race or a copetition.

There are loads of things to be conidered. What you do for a living are you sat behind a desk or up and down ladders?

Keep checking for chafing or pinched skin.

I started with fairly open steel cages, as I could not see how devices like the CB series, or Holy Trainer, would allow sufficient cleanliness to facilitate long-term lockup. Now, almost a year later, I am on cheap Chinese device #4, and think I have a design that is going to work. My future (if she wants it) keyholder and I both travel extensively, so opportunities for really long-term lockups are rare.

So far, my personal best is only seven days and eight nights, before the chafing was sufficient to force me out. Part of that was that I was walking many miles per day, so the timing wasn't the best. @Mistress Jules and @lockit have it right. Building up to long-term wear, slowly over time, is better than having to unlock and heal constantly. I wanted to be able to actually know that I could wear the cage for days, or weeks at a time, before offering to give someone else control over the key.

If I get her to join me, after some success, I will order a custom-fit device. If it turns out that she's not interested, into the waste-can the cheap cages go, I am out ~$100, and Mr. Happy is no worse for the wear!

 

You may find that life, and health, will get in the way of the fantasy to start with.
Wearing a device can take some getting used to, especially if it's a first device that may not be exactly the best size, fit and material for you.

One tip, don't try to tough out issues like soreness and chafing, you can easily end up making things a whole lot worse, take a day or two out to clean and heal, then resume when you're ready.
Frustration is one thing, but don't forget that pain is nature's way of telling you that something is wrong.

 

i would say you go as long as your keyholder says just as long as she makes sure your in good health and no problems with the device. I've never heard of someone dying from no orgasm or edging for too long lol. You'll survive.
