Chastity tubes/cages... Closed compared with Open or Spiral

I think open vs. closed is a trade off between security, weight, and cleaning. And it depends on what kind of stimulation you need to climax. Closed tubes gotta be more secure but harder to clean.

I bought a Lori #8C, which is a very open PA "tube". My main method for masturbation is stroking the shaft and I can't do that in this device. There is just not enough movable skin. However, after a couple months I discovered that I could climax by rubbing the underside of my glans. I ordered a new version from Lori with more bars on the underside. This will be more secure because I won't be able to fit my fingers in. I might be able to fit something else in and might be able to get enough stimulation to climax. I don't know.

So as for the myth that you can't climax in a Lori, it is just a myth and I'm the counter example - though I'm sure there are more. But I'm also sure that Lori makes devices I could not climax in. Same for any device.

I'm now wearing an eVotion. Per their instructions I got it quite short (and it is comfortable). So it leaves more of my shaft exposed and I recently discovered that I can climax by stroking my shaft. This device has more coverage around my glans and I don't think I could climax by stimulating there - but I have not tried. Once I'm back in the Lori I'll work on getting a modified eVotion that is longer. And I'll have him design is so access to the glans is limited.

As to your question about "profile" I assume you are wondering about the bumps created by the bars showing through pants. I wear loose pants so this is not a problem. I think size of the device is a significant factor. My flaccid penis is fairly large. I have an MCM contender sized for that but does become visible when I sit cross legged. The bars create visible ridges. A smooth device would create a more explainable bulge. The Holy Trainer in my photo is smaller and what bump it creates is less noticeable and smooth anyway. But that device is too small for me. So if you can make a small device work visibility won't be a problem, even with bars and bumps. The Lori and eVotion are "tubes" and so lay flat against my body.

So it is taking us a while to find the right balance of security vs. comfort. We started with more open designs because M liked the idea of being able to tease me through the openings and I liked the idea of easy cleaning. Budget allowing, eventually we may have a collection of devices that offer various levels of security.

 

It's possible to get off in any device given a powerful enough vibrator. Also, stimulate the tip of your dick for long enough using Q-tip and something is bound to happen. However, the snugger the device, the less pleasant this experience. So cage/tube choice doesn't really matter.

Cages are more hygienic and thus better for long term wear, which is why I prefer them.

In terms of profile, cage bars might be visible through tight underwear, I suppose. However, what really matters is the locking system. Devices that don't have magic lockers can be a bit like having your man parts rammed into the rear of an Imperial Star Destroyer! Padlock and locking post create a big super structure.

Nah. I can't masturbate in my MySteel belt. I can definitely in my CB3000. Wife puts a lock in the electric plug though, that's the only way I've been able to.
