Have you ever taken the Myers-Briggs test to determine your personality type on that scale? It would be interesting to see which MBTI personalities represent the Dominant Females and which the Submissive Males in this community.

I took the MBTI test a handful of times about 8 yrs ago.

All but one pinned me as INTJ.
The exception gave INTP. In all cases the J/P number was below 10.

The results can swing around a bit, moreso if you take the test too often. With familiarity it becomes easy to push the result in whatever direction you choose.
Your typology can also change from situation to situation. Where you test is more like your resting state than anything else.
Overall you can game the results; hence it being pretty much useless for assessing candidates at job interviews for instance (Everyone talks bullshit at interviews!). But it's a money-spinner for various consultants in that context.
It provides a flavour more than anything; not an absolute description.

I know people criticise Myers Briggs these days, but I've used it for a long time for creating characters for my fiction, and it really does work. It helps me figure out exactly what people would do in set circumstances.

    E/I NTJ

I’m right in the border of E/I and can be either depending on how I feel when I take the test (I’ve taken it several times)

The rest I’m a very strong NTJ

ENTJ and INTJ I've gotten both. It really just depends on the questions or how I feel that day when taking the test I guess.

    one paragraph from this link

One famous example of a popular but dubious commercial personality test is the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator. This questionnaire divides people into 16 different “types” and, often, the assessment will suggest certain career or romantic pairings. It costs $15 to $40 for an individual, but psychologists say the questionnaire is one of the worst personality tests in existence for a wide range of reasons. It is unreliable because a person’s type may change from day to day. It gives false information (“bogus stuff,” one researcher puts it). The questions are confusing and poorly worded. Vazire sums it up as “shockingly bad.”

I would not waste my time with it if it were free.
Its also very hard to not unconsciously influence any kind of personality test.

best test of some one I know is live with them for a month or more whilst neither of you are on vacation... that's generally quite revealling

I generally find that if I meet a person in the flesh that I instantly form an opinion as tro whether or not that person is right for me.. be that as a partner a boss an employee a collegue or aquaintance or just whether or not they are someone I ought to have time for... my initial instincts have never proved wrong in regard to males but are less than perfect with women...hence 2 divorces.

It sounds like reversed cliche it was not me it was them in both cases and believe me when I say that in both cases the consnsus of opinion of many others bore me out ... but unfortunately not till after we'd parted.

I've sort of been keeping tabs on the declared archetypes.
It looks like that in general the men are a bunch of INTx's.
Only 2 ladies have declared as xNFx.

Overall it seems introverted intuitive thinkers want to be locked up and intuitive feelers are happy to oblige!
