    Hello guys,

I'd like to ask you about how to define how big the gap between the cage and the ring has to be (on the underside of the cage) How long is the gap of your cage? Is there an optimal length?

Needs to be big enough not to restrict blood flow but narrow enough not to let you balls pop through.

The CB6k came with various ring sizes and spacers, which was nice when starting out.

Like most men I have neither micro-penis nor porn cock. I find a medium sized fine.

Cagedbysocks is spot on, the narrowest you find comfy will be the best.

The "gap size" as being applied with cages is the distance between the base ring (around your scrotum) and the cage ring (first ring at the cage portion). The "average" size is like 10 mm or 3/8 inch.

Although gap size is a crucial factor to be considered for the comfort of wearing, in practice you can not measure it in advance (like your girth length, diameter and base ring diameter). You should simply discover and improve. Therefore, once you are born with a "normal size", start with the advised average of 10 mm or 3/8 inch.

Custom manufacturer Mature Metal is advising as follows (source: https://www.maturemetal.com/guide-to-measuring-your-penis-for-a-chastity-device/)
On the gap there is not good way to measure. 90% of the customers order the 3/8″ and are happy with it. Some who have been in chastity for sometime want the 1/4″ as they have stretched the scrotum. Others who are new to chastity and have high and tight scrotum want the 1/2″. If the gap is wrong after you receive it, it is an easy fix.

I am currently wearing a MCN Contender custom cage, which was ordered with a standard gap of 3/8 inch. I discovered some burning feeling during wearing for longer periods. With some "distance support" from MCN I was able to adjust the gap size a bit larger, which brought me 100% comfort and no possibility for my balls to escape. Adjustment afterwards can be done by stailess steel cages, I guess not for plastic cages.

    Goodluck!

Recently worked on it and fixed the issue by expanding the gap.
It made me comfortable for long term wear.

As others said the gap should be enough for the sack skin to relax but not for escape of balls.
    Good luck

I think in general it relates to how your balls hang. If you're "high and tight" you tend to need a larger gap. If your balls tend to hang low, you can generally go smaller.

I have the former and started with a 10mm gap (3/8"). But caused under-ring burn, so I went bigger. And am so much more comfortable.

I've read this advice in several places, but I'm finding it still confusing. I wish there was a visual reference for what the difference between the two types looks like. Probably preferably from the side, somehow.

I thought I understood that for most fellas, the hang changes depending on the temperature and other environmental conditions. I don't think I really know which end of that spectrum I fall in, or really in what kind of temperature, etc I should be measuring.

Any additional follow-up advice would be well appreciated.
