While cleaning up the other morning I found that my metal device is irritating my skin. Has anyone ever coated the inside of a device to make it less likely to irritate your skin?
I think @Sunny has a coated device....? I remember a post about some liquid rubber-type product that can be used, but have no personal experience... I read it here: http://www.chastitymansion.com/foru...1-and-a080-from-dhgate.8909/page-2#post-89537 Good luck! With the absolute kindest regards. J.
Is it irritating your skin or is it chrome plated and the plating is flaking off? I had one device that I loved, but it was cheap, turned out to be chrome plated, and the plating was starting to come off inside the device near the hard to reach welds. At that point they become like tiny razors. I did try coating that one in Tool Dip, but after about a week it started to peel off and the material itself would start to take on a urine odor. I wound up moving on to another device.
No. My cage is not coated with anything It is stainless steel, and even after 2 years of 24x7 lock-up, it has not rusted even a bit
I made a sort of soft insert where my steel cage makes contact with the underside of my shaft. Last time in 24/7 lock up I had a cut from where the device made contact. This time I was ready, and now after 5 weeks continuous I don't feel any irritation.
Hey. Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me what you used to accomplish this. Do you have any pictures?
I can't show you any pictures until I'm released but it's a kind of neoprene stuff with large holes in a lattice pattern. I just found a little piece somewhere so I'm sorry I can't say its origin. I think you buy it in a roll, it's perhaps 5mm thick but soft. waterproof and acts as a good anti-pull out device because it sticks against the skin. I simply inserted a strip into the bottom of the cage to cover the 'knuckle' of the chastity devices bars near the welds and looped the length sticking out of the top under the device between my balls and the cage as well. Super comfortable now.
I once used one of those circular foam callus cushions to pad a spot that was getting rubbed against. They adhere and stop the irritation if it is from rubbing. However, if your irritation is from allergy, as others have mentioned, or from a pressure spot, this probably won't help. Can you describe a bit more where the irritation is, what you think it is from, and what the irritated skin looks like?
I have a cheap stainless cage that I use sometimes with a hinged ring. I used some electrical heat shrink tubing to cover the hinge point to prevent pinching. It works great to cover the base ring for that purpose, but it would only work with a hinged ring. You wouldn't be able to coat the whole cage this way.
I wonder why nobody has mentioned heat shrink and hinged rings before so simple . Easy to get from maplins in the UK and Internet . Xx Wendy
Hey there! Looking at the solutions I'm wondering if the cost(s) outweigh buying an entirely new metal device....? Might be worth investigating! With the absolute kindest regards. J.
It depends what type of metal device you have. If it is the ringed version like my avatar you can. I wrote about this on another post. In order for anything to stick, you have to rough up the surface on the inside and clean well with something like rubbing alcohol in order for the material to stick and hold. http://www.chastitymansion.com/foru...e-turned-into-a-great-cage.13058/#post-110838 The post was on a chromed device but I did the same thing recently to this device that is true stainless and it works beautifully. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Male-Stainless-Steel-Chastity-Device-Cage-Locking-A085-/331060097793. I did all the same steps to it that was in the previous post and modified the the tip to a slot for easy peeing instead of the little hole it came with.
