I tried wearing a cage that was uncomfortable when I first got it. I have been in it for over a week now and have not had any issues. Took off to clean and wash, put it back on and it started being uncomfortable and was chaffing a little bit. Has anyone else had this happen? I was left unlocked overnight but am ordered to relook this morning so I am going to try it again. I really like this cage after having it on for over a week and it never had given an issue.
I think it's caused by the skin reacting to a change in pressure combined with being washed and moved around after being compressed for a week. It can split or become sore so that the cage seems uncomfortable. Best solution is to keep the cage on and wash through it, assuming an open design. And/or apply skin healing ointment. My experience anyway.
Leave the cage on. Learn to clean with it on. Learn to use Q-tips to apply lubricant as necessary after cleaning.
Loads of lube during the early years I now use lube to help get it on. And then sometimes I do feel the need to apply a little more ...but this is not every week or even every month But be aware and take note of the messages your body sends you if you think you need some lube... then you do far better to be over cautious with the lube than have to spend time out to heal damage that could have been avoided If it happens regularly in the same spot... it might be time to consider a a cage change I don't know anyone that wears a cage full time that has not at some point needed to change it
Yes it happens, has just the same only I’d been wearing the device every day for years and no problems, best option is to take it off and put it back on, and use a good lube to.
Yes I agree I should have left it on and washed through it. I know better for next. I have been all weekend trying different cages to be locked. But mistress said just keep it off for know and we will relook next weekend. Let everything rest settle back down.
If you have a hand held shower wand, this is easier. Also, it helps me to turn it all the way to cold cold as a final rinse, and make that final rinse long enough to freeze everything through and through. It gives a little room for bits to move around better and dry. For a steel cage, petroleum jelly + q-tip is a good answer for re-lubing the chafe-likely areas. And if you have any issues with moisture or itch from wearing, Tagrid + q-tip is the answer. Burns like fuck, but works great.
Pubic hairs are rough! Normally they're squashed between soft skin and soft clothes, but when rubbed by a hard cage, it's the skin that gives. Put a pubic hair on your tongue and roll it around to find out just how rough they are! Lubricants help a lot, you could also trim hairs in the region of the base ring, shave, pluck or wax, any will help prevent chafing, each has it's advantages and disadvantages.
ironically it has been a product targeted to women to help prevent chafing. it goes on in a gel form and dries to a very slick and a very light powder substance. Search for chafing relief powder gel.
