Chastity device and hernia

please what is a hernia i have not seen a cage with one of them on.

 

Sorta depends on the size, location and severity of the hernia. A year and a half ago I had open bilateral inguinal (groin) hernia surgery (both sides). Right side was worse = a 6” scar and left side was slightly less = 4” scar. There was no way I could tolerate any device before the surgery. I had to wear a hernia belt and couldn’t stand for extended periods of time and couldn’t bend or stoop. Your husband may have only a minor hernia and perhaps only a laparoscopic procedure will be used? (The fact that an operation isn’t scheduled until the fall probably means it isn’t that severe.) However, it really is a question for the surgeon, since only he will know the size, location and severity of hernia.

Unfortunately, I had complications on one side after the surgery and it has taken a year and a half for me to be able to comfortably wear a device.

 

I dont think wearing a chastity cage has any direct correlation to in inguinal hernia. A hernia occurs when there is a defect in your anterior abdominal wall. It might be congenital or acquired. Heavy weight lifting and heavy manual labour might predispose him to it. From what you have said, it might be an initial stage.

 

I have a decent sized ingiunal hernia. I thought my heavy steel cage made it feel worse, so I supported it with a fine leather belt. Anyway, I've swapped to a cherry keeper and just wear supportive underwear from aussiebum. Seems to be ok. I'm on waitlist for later this year.

I don’t think it would make the hernia worse in general, and the ring should in theory reduce the gap and keep the scrotum closed, But if your hernia does drop and some bowel gets into the scrotum, then it could cause a strangulation and then your could be in real trouble.
