Curious. Where does your Keyholder hide the emergency key? I saw on another thread a clear box with a wifi lock that can be opened with the KH phone remotely. Interesting....
Emergency key for my EV#8 is on me, in a sealed envelope. It might be better to call mine a "secondary key", as it can be used by others, just not by me.
If I leave the house, my key is in a sealed envelope with my wife’s writing along the seal I place in my wallet. Since COVID-19, I usually don’t leave the house much and mostly I’m with the wife and the key is around her neck. The remained of the time, the envelop is in a lock box and when I need it the wife will text me the code. Once I get home, she changes the combination and it’s safe again.
I don't have one per se, as i self lock. But if I get to where I have a KH, then I'd opt for a small box with a combination lock., which only KH would know the code. I'd have to contact them to obtain code to get key. That way, KH could approve my unlocking and there would be no chance of an unauthorized access. There are lots of options, though, like numbered tags to seal a box or the taped envelopes mentioned already, but for me, I'd prefer having 'everything' under lock and key.
if i has emergecy i am allow to ring Mistress if She not at home. i did text Her a lot but not now cos She tooked my phone away but we got anothe phone in the house.
At home in my drawer inside a piece of slightly flattened pipe secured with a numbered tag. If I need out for anything I have only to ask and on hand should they be required for some unexpected situation. Cant be used without breaking the seal/tag not that I can't be trusted it just feels better for us both knowing that there is an element of control which is a little more than just trust involved. She can ask to look at the intact seal any time she wants I can't is for us always better than I wouldn't. We were going to get a safe that could only be opened remotely by my Lady but the guy that was making it seemed to lose interest or something... he never told us..
No emergency key - both and only keys are kept in a safe deposit box at a bank - only my wife knows which bank, is signed to the box and can get access to them.
Ours is in a combo safe in my house and only she has combo. Pretty secure (I have tried). There is a manual key for this but is locked in another safe at her house.
No emergency key. She knows I'm quite capable of breaking the padlock off if I need to, as would an A&E unit. Of course, if I did then she'd know there had been a genuine emergency.
No emergency key here either. After some adjustments I finally got my MM and Steelworx devices to fit well and comfortably, without any testicle slip, so I can and do wear them for weeks at a time without issue. When locked both my wife/KH and I both prefer that I have no access, so I have no idea where she keeps the keys.
I have one key in a sealed and signed envelope in my wallet. I am required to show the envelope to my Keyholder Wife, @MistressAMA, at least weekly. She also keeps one in Her lockbox, which is locked (and i do not have the combination). So, it's not hard to get out, but we would be have a significant discussion if the envelope would show up tampered-with! asa
