I've worn a CB-xxxx to the gym many, many times. It's never posed a problem. I just wear a pair of tight cycling pants underneath my normal gym shorts. That helps obscure the bump. There's certainly no issue with movement for any exercises, including cycling. I also don't really find it difficult to hide. Many times the locker rooms are quiet enough, I can slip in and out of undies unnoticed. Other times, I simply go in my underwear to the bathroom stall and change. No one seems to pay any notice. A lot of more modest people at the gym seem to do that these days. Both gyms I work out at also have private shower stalls, so that's not a problem. Now, hiding pink panties on the other hand. That would be a little more challenging! lol
