Plastic or metal?

I have been in lifestyle for close to 8 years. I am currently in a Mamba resin cage. Fits great. However I do tend to forget it’s on. I remember when a Mistress KH had me in a Steal cage. It was heavy and I could feel it pulling most of the time. I am considering getting my cage but in the steal.
What are your preferences and why?
Wondering if others prefer the heavier feel.

For the longest time, I had a hard time deciding for myself. The pros of wearing a resin cage as you mentioned is the light material, and won't set off metal detectors if worn with a plastic piece instead of a lock. The only con I see with resin/plastic is it's a bit more difficult to clean than steel cages. Personally, I only really wear resin if it's for a short period of time, especially if it's a closed device. Otherwise, if it's for long-term wear I would use a steel device.

That is another reason for Steel. It’s much easier to clean. Thanks.

Steel is definitely easier because it is easy to clean. I would love to wear a resin cage, but they begin to smell after a while. Is the mamba cage made of a less porous material than most resin cages?
I wear a MCN Adaptus cage 24/7. It's not perfect but it is close for me.

A steel cage seems to be more comfortable and practical to wear 24/7, in most cases. More durable, easier to clean and seems to be better on the skin. In a few days of wear the weight becomes noticeable only just enough to remind you that the cage is there. (IMHO that's pretty much a plus.)

Titanium is difficult to beat for both weight and hygiene.

I find plastic more practical for longer term day to day wear.

I would like to try a titanium one but haven't seen anywhere good to find a comparable style to the cb6k

I changed to the Baby Cobra from the MCN Amicus about 4-5 months ago. This resin is where it's at. I can be much more active and my wife likes how cute it makes my penis look.

Less porous??? Good question. I shower morning and night and really wash as best as I can. It’s not horrible on the smell.. but the steel version should be a lot better.

It’s to each there own, I prefer plastic or resin, I did wear a metal cage for a bout a year a while ago, I found it quite quite comfortable to begin, but it was only a cheap cage and it soon started to irritate me.

I have a poly carbonate plastic device that is very comfortable and lightweight. I'm able to clean it with a squirt bottle of anti bacterial soapy water and a q-tip. I can wear it without removal for weeks.

For me there is no question: metal, and especially heavy metal such as stainless steel is part of the whole philosophy. I really appreciate the heavy tug on my balls that I feel throughout the day. Plastic is (in my opinion) nothing but nice teasing. You know you can easily break it, you can pull your penis out, and there goes the entire challenge. With steel devices, it's not only the looks, also the rigidity and clunky feel that adds to the restrictive feeling. It has to be steel for me or it's not serious.
