I read a little teaser exert from the books I mentioned . It seemed a real turn on ,and I ordered the box set. They are on the way now from Amazon. Today while looking at my ordered I clicked on review. So many people giving it only one star . I wonder if these people thought it would be another vampire series , or if they were into kink. Has anyone here read these books ,and what is your opinion ?
Well I think it's up your alley based on your other posts, I read it before I knew much about kink and was put off by the amount of spanking/pain induced. It's a harsh ride for anyone who's not into SM. 50 shades of gray pales in comparison. Do tell us what you think of it, though!
They probably work as erotica for people who don't necessarily want to live a real power exchange form of existence. They're far enough removed from reality to be safely ensconced in the middle ground. I will say that they're far superior to that other Anne Rice attempt at erotica, 'Exit To Eden' ... don't even think about watching the movie version. She's not really a writer I care for all that much, even the Vampire stuff didn't really do it for me. My interest lies in FLRs so, to be fair to Anne Rice, many of her themes were always going to leave me cold. Unless someone can enlighten me, I think the great FLR novel has yet to be written. I might have to do it myself!
I read them all, and they progress in severity and kink the more books you read. I think it was my first actual thought of punishment with pleasure. I of course always put myself in beauty’s character. I even experimented on paddling on myself (wound up with quite a purple bottom), was amazed at how much u can take when all turned on. Some stuff wasn’t really anything that turned me on, but was still kinky and a good read. Put in stocks naked and covered with honey, flys and insects landing on you, and anyone in the village free to grope, touch, pinch, and fondle, comes to mind.
I have only read to page 31 on line so far, but Amazon just dropped my books at my door . Mosquitos, honey and insects ?? Not my main fantasy for sure. I'll read the three books and post my opinion.
