Submissives must support a Mistress in public for her to realize her Superior potential. This is done initially with language. A Mistress has already developed an image and title that she demands her sub to follow. Whether it is Mistress, Ma’am or Goddess, a sub must prepare themselves to give tribute with every thought, especially, in public. Using this language has great benefits to an obedient sub. It puts a dominant woman on a pedestal, establishing a place where she can rule. Whether private or public the result is the same – it puts him in subspace from the first utterance. Imagine setting the tone when he utters, “Yes, Mistress.” in front of the waiter at your local breakfast spot.

First of all, a new sub might have a new Mistress. It is your job, as the sub, to develop a comfort zone by using her title. Early on, you must make it second nature. It should be like breathing, natural and essential. You should have a sense of panic if you fail to use her well-earned title; just like if you forget to turn down the thermostat before leaving her house. Failing to use her title shows weakness in your desire to obey. You have the tools, now use them.

Second, listen to your instincts. Submissives can feel what is right, and often times, they don’t have to be told. Don’t you think a sub wants to empower his Goddess by obeying her wishes? To do differently would show you are not serious about being dominated. Does the sub realize that if this a Prime Directive, nothing more needs to be said. Maybe you grew up hearing women, even strong women, referred to as “Baby”, “Honey” or “Sweetie”, this was deemed as unacceptable for 20+ years. Thus, no excuse. What a sub should do is emphasize the opposite. Substitute Ma’am, Mistress and Goddess for these antiquated nicknames and you will see the difference. But make it instinctual otherwise you are doing a disservice to your Mistress and yourself.

Third, language is art. In public, paint the proper picture. You have the framework, Mistress’s proper title in public is just a brush-stroke. Using her name or a condescending nickname in public is like painting the Mona Lisa with a mustache, Whistler’s Mother in a cocktail dress or Nightwatch in the daytime. But remember a painting takes hundreds of stroke to get the painting right – just like it takes hundreds of times using her proper title in public to make it instinctual. Look at is this way: it is a serious endeavor in performance art. Something in the moment that you do over and over and over. Make it something a sub can be proud to exhibit.

Fourth, a Goddess should not have to constantly correct a submissive on his language. What are you a baby? Do you need your Mama….Dada….Baba? No, these are things you grow out of, and it’s time for you to grow up and use her proper title in public. What if one of your domestic services such as making her tea in the morning. Would you forget the sugar one day? Add milk by mistake the next. This is ridiculous on many levels. Don’t you believe that if she lets this go, it will be a small test of her power over you? Maybe a sub will exploit this and try to chip away at other rules and protocols. As Molly Hachette says you are Flirting with Disaster if you continue to make infantile errors.

Fifth, if a submissive has an online Mistress or a Goddess at home, any chat or text must be followed by their proper name. This is the easiest and most effective way of reinforcing her superiority. Now, it’s likely that an ineffective sub will complain about typing her title EVERY time. Bullshit! That’s the point, over and over and over. It’s a good lesson because on this site it doesn’t happen enough. Maybe more Mistresses would visit and stay in Chastity Mansion if it happened EVERY time.

In conclusion, when a Superior is dominating her submissive, he must not take her title lightly. That domination doesn’t stop at her front door. In public, it is just as important to use the proper name for the reasons stated above. Submissives want to be controlled and, simply put, the name goes with the Mistress wherever she might take her sub. If you are subservient and out and about, the title is a great way to not get distracted. A sub that is naturally prone to distraction will benefit greatly by calling his dominant partner Ma’am, Mistress or Goddess in public. It keeps the sub focused and attentive. Doesn’t every sub want please their dominant partner? Language is the key to unlocking a sub’s inner most desires. The correct language can take you there more completely.
