i stumbled across an interesting device and thought i'd share it.

This is a plastic container that is now in it's pre-marketing stage.
i did pledge a double purchase. They should be ready by September 2013.
i have no involvement with the developers or company.

    The Kitchen Safe

Simply place an item in the Kitchen Safe, close the lid, and set the timer. Once the timer is set, and the button is pressed, the safe locks and cannot be opened until the timer reaches zero. It’s that easy!

    6" x 6" x 6.5"
Duration: 1 min to 10 days
    2 AA batteries
    1 lb.
Transparent (clear), or Non-transparent (solid white)

It's a step up from the one time use plastic key boxes, since it can be used over and over again.
Or, just keep your m&m's safe. Lol

A buddy of mine makes these: http://mortisafe.com/
Decent price too. Don't have one myself but I do recommend them. He's in the UK so probably not practical to ship any further afield!
