I figured this was the best place as this issue is quite common with full belts. How do you keep yours clean? Particularly, the inside? (With the belt on, of course.)

I've heard a few mentioning of anti-bacterial soap, shower heads, one person even using Listorine to help cover the smell (after cleaning).

I picked up a box of plastic syringes and am ready to go, but aren't entirely sure what to be using with them.

    Thanks!

Until i get the prototype belt perfected what i have found good is a good antibacterial wash such as Carex which was recommended to me to use after having my tattoo done by the tattooist. I have an old empty Air Wick atomiser spray bottle (fabric freshener) and i fill the bottle with a diluted mixture of warm water and the carex. I can spray copious quantity of this liquid both into the tube from above and through the pee hole and as you move the belt around slightly you can get full penetration inside the tube and surrounding areas. A Quick bath or shower then rinses all the soapy residue away and the tube and myself are smelling as good as new. Make sure to dry under waist belt thoroughly and i also poke in some toilet paper twisted into a tight spiral and work it around the inside of the pee hole to dry out any remaining water.

A solution of Tea Tree oil diluted with water works perfectly for disinfecting those little tubes.
I would recommend Ten drops in 250ml.
Make sure it comes into contact with the entire inside surface.
If you're blighted by fungal infections (those of you who consume too much yeast) you can use a similar solution of grapefruit seed extract.
If you're still having problems then you should consider investing in an open style cage with little bars. A nice shiny metal one.
personally I would not tolerate that "Mens public toilet smell", not for one second.

Additionally I hight recommend a hand held shower head. It makes a huge difference on keeping things clean. I'm manage 5 1/2 months of being belted in both a My-Steel belt and a Locked In Steel belt without being removed for any reason.

    Stroppy,
everyone knows exactly what they smell like. Even the waft of a closing door is more than sufficient

    Hi.
Although this would not work with a belt style device I use the "dishwasher" method for my Cb6ks: A large plastic cup filled with very warm sudsy water (scented body wash) and insert the entire package inside the cup, push it tight to my pubic bone then shake for about 30 sec...rewash a 2nd time then run through water only rinse. Q-tip inside when done and I am clean and fresh.
