I have just realised that the clear tubing that is used for things like filters and airstones in aquariums is great for fitting to the outer posts of my 6000 to stop that movement that occurs on each side. Its dead easy to cut with scissors and, once cut to the right size for your spacer, stops any movement which might help with the "ears" not breaking as there is no movement transferred. Hope this little tip might help someone
I do that also. The silicon air hose for aquariums. Assemble the rings, then cut 1/4 of an inch or so of the tubing and it put on each of the small guideposts before assembling the cage. js
if i understand well, you make like 2 extra spacers that you put on each sidepin to raise the solidity?
Its a whole lot easier to get a cb6000improvements@gmail.com purpose made 34 pc spacer kit. Adjusts every gap to 0.5mm accuracy Had three kits last year and it has fixed 11 slaves cbs so far with gooly few spacers still to use eliminates pinching and reduces chances of a painfull ball escape
