What's happened to Locked in Steel?

    The Locked in Steel website seems to have vanished. I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything?

    I emailed them about two weeks ago with a few questions about their locks and got a response just last week... Perhaps they are just having some technical difficulties with their webhost... (or someone forgot to pay the bill)

    I'd been somewhat concerned about this too, in case they were going bust.

    A new server was setup for Locked In Steel a few months ago and some IP address changes and configuration had to be changed. During the last outage the server had to be physically moved.

    Does anyone have feedback on the Locked in Steel belts? I'm trying to decide between LiS, MySteel and Neosteel.

    LIS is taking a terrible beating in Fetlife. Customer service is non-existent. I haven't heard of anyone here having a recent good experience with them.

    I'd stick with Mysteel or Neosteel. People rave about the customer service with Neosteel. I know people with Mysteels seem happy, though I hear less about them.

    I'm still waiting for delivery of my order. It's been nearly twice the estimated time to completion. They take forever to answer emails, something is always delayed, they have an order status page but don't post updates, and now I read this.. http://tpe.com/~altarboy/nt110103.htm I don't like waiting around with the feeling I've been suckered. Especially given the expense!

    Jillian had hired a customer service person and had to let her go (she wasn't doing her job well.) Jillian is in the process of finding someone else to do it. (There is mention of this on their website.)

    complaints about locked in steel are like a rash across the net.
    Americans verses Europe for customer service/belts. NO CONTEST

    I have read several very bad reviews on Altairboys site and they sure did take a beating on Fetlife. When costumer service goes out the window so does your business as a whole, it might be something a business owner should pay really close attention too or there will be no more business! For my part I will steer clear of them for now and wait until they can get their poop together.

    Anyone interested in buying a belt from these people should read up the latest information on the Fetlife site before parting with any cash at all. They have been stringing customers along for over 18 months in some cases and their money has dissappeared with no products to show for it. There is such a stink about it with many many customers out of pocket up to several thousand pounds and the ( NOT OWNER ) jillian blaming it on anyone but herself. The website is down at the moment for repairs but they still do not respond to the waiting customers. Anyone who makes any comments on the site is removed from the groups by Jillian and i know because i am one of the ones who has been removed for voicing concerns. Please pass on this warning to anyone else who may not have heard of these instances as they too will just be added to an ever increasing list of customers who have paid and yet recieved nothing. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
