    Are the plastic cages improving? Can anyone recommend the Vice for long term locking?

    I personally feel it is a pretty bulky device... If you are doing non-metal I would look into the Cherry Keeper or Holy Trainers...

    Holy Trainer is more closed... Cheery Keepers are more custom...

    Thank you - I haven't been in plastic for quite some time and didn't even know about the Cherry Keeper.

    I second cherry keeper, I didn’t like or suit the vice at all! The measurements were not pricise, it was much narrower than stated. And the hinged ring is a pain, the rivet is very irritating, and also it’s all quite flimsy. The actual vice part is a great idea, and feels great, your really clamped in there, but the other parts just didn’t do it for me.

    I got a Vice a few years ago, could still pull out. Lost some weight and tried it a few months ago again, and it split in half.
