    Placed an order 6 days ago and it's in a "pending" status. Followed up with an email a couple of days ago. No response yet.

    Anyone else bought from them and is this pretty typical?

    Just want to make sure they're not waiting on something more from me.

    I've ordered a couple cages from Evotion, though the most recent was over a year ago.

    Once you get a conversation started with them though, they do seem to respond faster.

    I love my Orion, btw. Ordered my first the first day they came out. hope you enjoy!

    From my experience over the past couple months the communication can be a bit all over the place. Some days they respond right away and some days it takes a week +. That is really my only gripe with the company is that responses to questions aren't quicker. I would at least like an automated response saying they received my message as sometimes it feels they get lost in the shuffle. They do eventually get back though so just got to be patient...which sucks lol but besides waiting for a response they do fantastic work!

    Ooh nice looking new site with a lot better selections for ordering. Plus shows off the new security screw locking sysyem which is much better than the brass lock. Also nice to also see they chose my Bijou design for their page

    I agree, been thinking about a new cage, was wondering if they did a more regular "bar" pattern. And they do now!

    Also - my orion was one of the orginals for the old site. It is a bit feeling if awesome isnt it? ;)

    Nice! Very happy with my 2nd piece with updated measurements and longer shaft. Just did a 15day lockup and let it free for a quick clean but with how mine is designed I might not ever need to unlock lol

    The new one came a couple days ago. My wife immediately made me put it on so I couldn't get a picture of it while not wearing.

    Never the less, it seems better.
    - I got it a little bigger in diameter and in the "head" cap sizes. Seems more comfortable, but that's a measuring thing.
    - I used to have the suns-and-moons filigree but went with the "bars" one this time. That's more comfortable for sure.
    - The new security screws are interesting. I'm suddenly really worried about losing the key!

    Time from ordering to shipping: about 6 weeks (was quoted 6-8).

    I still recommend the Evotion Orion, it's a comfy cage ... which I suppose is both good and bad? ;)

    I'm expecting a new Bijou with the security screw to arrive this week. I'm wondering if anyone has a good solution to tamper proof the screw driver bit so it can be used as an emergency key? Seems like most of portable solutions I can find expect to have a key with a hole through it. Looking at pictures I don't think that will work here.

    Can you rephrase this question? Not sure what you mean but can it be used as an emergency key? It's a key that is used for the screw so yes in case of an emergency you can use the key on it? Again very confusing wording going on in your question

    We bought a short piece of PVC pipe, two caps, and super glue. Cut the pipe down to be ~3 inches or so, glued one cap on, dropped the key in the pipe, glued the other cap, then my partner signed it with a sharpie. Then for good measure and because we already had them, stuck a security sticker on it. I could break into it with a hammer in a minute or two but not without my partner knowing. It cost like $5. Plus you get a trip to the hardware store which is always fun.

    Some tamper evident way to keep the key/screwdriver. That way it can be accessible to me, but my key holder will be able to tell if I have used it.

    Glitter nail polish on the screw head. Take a photo. It will be unique each time. Acetone removes it. (Unsure if acetone would damage the 3d printed plastic though!)

    Keychain Pill bottle for the driver bit, sealed with purple loctite and/or numbered seals.

    Or just little Manila pouches for the bit. I’ve done this too.
