Ball slippage - how to reduce gap on existing steel cage

    I've now tried several different A-ring types/sizes and cage combinations. The one that is the most comfortable has a gap large enough for my testicles to slip out. I'd like to reduce the gap space, but when i tried with a pair of pliers to pull the cage down i snapped the part the lock goes into. Is there anything i can bridge the gap with? Medical tape or something? Thoughts?

    Pictures might help us. Some filing and grinding so the cage goes on closer then put a washer between the lock and cage to keep it back might work

    Show us a photo or two of the cage, both assembled and apart would be good, then we'll be able to understand what's possible for your particular cage.
