I’m allowed out to shave whenever M let’s me. It depends but it doesn’t bother me too much, other than wanting to look my best

 

My madam is strict about hygiene, so even though she likes me locked I am allowed out to wash and clean and shave every 5ish days. During the summer months when it’s hot she will allow me out more frequently some times every 48hrs if it’s very hot.

It really depends on the device, your skin type and the weather/climate.

A active sweaty person in a warm climate with an enclosed plastic device may need daily cleaning.

A cool skinned person in a cool climate with a barred steel cage can go months without unlocking for cleaning, as a shower or bath can reach all the skin to keep it fresh.

Some guys dribble precum a lot, others don't, that also affects how often not just the skin but the device itself needs a good clean.

 

My sub-hubby is kept locked 24/7 in an open-wire steel mini-cage, so he keeps clean using soap and a shaving brush, followed by a strong rinse with the hand-held spray attachment in the shower. I unlock him about once every 2 weeks for a deep cleaning which I supervise. But only the cage portion of his device is removed; his base ring is permanent and always stays on.

 

Somebody actually used to sell a "cleaning" set you could use to clean with the CB-X series. Me and husband give it mixed reviews. I usually don't let it go more than 5 days without taking it off for cleaning purposes. When he has to pee, he takes some toilet paper, puts soap on it, wipes through the slot in the front, then takes a wet piece of toilet paper to "rinse" then a dry piece to dry. It keeps the smell of urine away. I also think it's great he has to wipe after peeing just like girls do.

 

I generally am freed every night before bed. I clean and come to bed. (No trimming or shaving. She doesn't like it.) Longest I've gone without taking it off to clean is on trips ... a week plus.

 

I recently got a new and really sweet KH. and she kept me in my belt for 28 days 24/7 and in this round it will be 25 days 24/7 I have been graciously allowed to take the belt off for 2 hours on Sunday ....

I like being locked 24/7 without any removal of the cage.

This is one reason why I purchased a metal barred MCN Contender with a PA pin. It's extremely easy to keep clean with a strong jet from the shower, and I manage to shave with the cage on fairly easily.

When my Mistress permits a release, she ensures I give the cage an extra good clean before it's re-installed.

When I used closed plastic or silicon tube type devices in my early chastity days, I found it very hard to keep properly clean, and I can't recommend an 'open' cage type device highly enough.

I have this same cage. Amazingly comfortable and very easy to keep clean. Had it on for a little over a month prior to our vacation last month, back on when we got back. It's been on for 2 weeks straight with no end in sight.

Domina allows 1-2 hours each Sunday for a wellness check, shave and deep clean. I am in a Rigid model 1. It has a cupola covering the glans but is still pretty accessible with swabs for daily cleaning. There is a circumcision scheduled for Jan. or Feb. so she may change to a bad ass workroom with PA which may change the removal schedule since there will be more accessibility.
